I know this probably is a pipe dream due to the fact that we have like 90 broke owners who dont know which hole is their ass but now we have a point guard i would love to get howard. He is from Atlanta and I am sure he would love to come back. His best friend is josh smith and i am sure there will be dialogue there. We will not resign crawford so that will free some space, i could possibly see a sign and trade with crafword for howard.

Wishful thinking there, you'd need to offer half the Hawks team to trade for Howard.

yeah i know but we would be pretty solid on the inside with howard and smith at power forward. Lots of block shots to go around

I dont think the Hawks would have a problem trading Josh Johnson, and Jamal Crawford for Howard.

They have reached the ceiling with this team.

The Bulls went from the last place playoff team to the best in the league in a two years span. While the Hawks have been stuck in mediocrity for the past 5 years.

um, the Hawks wont have any "free money" if they let Crawford go, they will still have around 60 million tied up and the cap will be less than that.

Sign and trade wont work as no way Orlando would even want Crawford, maybe Orlando would interested in Horford, But Horford is into a large contract and if Orlando is dealing Howard its to go into full rebuild mold and taking on a guy with a 5/60 deal doesnt help a whole lot.

Ha, if Orlando would take that deal, the GM and anyone who didn't hold his under water preventing him from accepting should be beaten.

Hawks problem is that their success is directly tied to their most inconsistent player, Josh Smith. He is the most dynamic player on the team, and when he plays his bests Hawks rarely lose. But Josh Smith has a lot of Lamar Odom in him. Which means even though he is talented and versatile he has never improved throughout his career, and is nearly invisible on the court.

hawks would need to give up horford and josh smith for the magic to take that deal

the problem for orlando is howard is a free agent so they might lose him all together so they might take less. Sign and trade would have to happen for him to fit under their cap.

While that is somewhat true, management need to be blamed for this, Last off season the Hawks decided to lock them selves into mediocrity by maxing Joe Johnson, instead of giving themselves a chance to al least thing about acquiring a larger talent.

Teague is decent, jumpshot isnt a site to see though, he's not really a playmaker is he?

This team's problem is really mental, if they played with heart all the time, they would go really far. Pretty good comparison with Odom and Smith, they pretty much have the same mentality. Doesnt help when your franchise player isnt a vocal or emotional leader either.

other teams will be offering more to get howard, look wat the nuggets for for melo
u dont think the another team is gonna provide a better offer than crawford? hahaha
getting a 30 year old bench player making a lotta cash makes NO SENSE.
they will want young talent, draft picks, and salary relief
