Well I clearly mistook their intensity from the last game as having turned the corner in the realization that they could very easily get beaten in this series. I actually have to give credit to the Hawks. They won game 1 by having a better gameplan than the Bulls, and they won tonight by making more adjustments in cutting off Derek Rose from the rim. Rose had a good game, but he had 6 of his shots blocked by tough interior D by the Hawks.

The Bulls biggest weakness is their dependence on Rose. Korver and Deng had subpar nights and that was the difference tonight. 6-22 and 1-11 from 3 is crap. As tough as the Bulls were in the regular season, I'm starting to see the failures in their game. The winner of BOS/MIA will eat them alive.

I feel the same way when I see them play like tonight. Allowing people to walk to the hoop. Boozer playing with oven mits. Rose iso and drive to the hoop over and over.

But then again I said the same re: ATL in the second round. The first round effort was some of the WORST playoff basketball I've ever seen. They are glad Hinrich is injured because the point guard play and offense was horrible. I thought the Bulls would obliterate them.

Yet here we are.

Bulls have never been a "pretty" team. They are almost impossible to beat at home though, Game 1 was a fluke. I think they are going to wins series' in 7 games, both this one and the next and maybe the finals too. They'll be ugly and it'll either be home sweeps both ways or 1 stolen each way. But the home court advantage is going to pretty much amount to the difference. Please do not forget that the Bulls are 40-6 at home now.
