When I hedge I only ever do it to cover my initial outlay. As I do all the research / run my little systems I'm confident that my initial bet is still the correct / prefered one. However, with sport being sport, strange things happen and rather than have a sure thing get beaten and be left with nothing, I place enough to cover my initial bet so I can move onto the next one if need be.Originally posted by jorge1
