I understand the thinking taking the rockets, but
this is game is simply 2 teams- One that is the
best in the league and one who is probably the
worst in the league. Don't analyse this game. Rockets
w/o Mcgrady are a lost and hopeless team. Spurs
are primed to blow them out!

Yao has gotten better and he carried the Rockets for a shile but Spurs have always done a good job on Yao and those other guys on that team are non factors. Spurs have not been good in B2b but Houston is a two hour plane ride if that...not really a true road game and Rocket fan will be rabid which should keep the Spurs awake. Wish I could get a line...my books don't have em out yet.

Bought the hook but got it at -5 at Chris. Hate to lay the wood on the road but Houston really has sucked at home with or without McGrady. Spurs winning by 3 buckets is not much of a stretch.

Pity that the playoff picture figures so strong now. The team I like here is HOU, but I want at least 6.5 points. Hard to measure what sucks more: HOU without T-mac or SA without rest.

imgv, the info in my post is how SA has done in back to backs.

Possibly. Though SA did have some trouble in SA last Sunday with HOU, playing without T-Mac.

The B2B issue is what's keeping me from making this game my game of the day....setting that aside Houstons home record is horrible and now they have the Spurs coming to visit and no T-Mac....that makes this game worth the risk.

I normally would play Houston in this spot, plus you gotta figure all the square action is gonna be on the Spurs esp w/out T-mac. But I learned my lesson not to go against IMG.

At this point in the season, I doubt Popavich puts much stock in a game-by-game race for the division crown. I suspect he's more interested in keeping his team fresh for the playoffs, in which case he's not going to push players like Ginnobli or Duncan in back-to-backs if they indicate with their play they need rest.

huge? Spurs are deep. I think I will need Michael Finley to score 31pts
and Parker to step up again. I hate this game now though. Too many

It's that time of year when contenders start thinking about resting and healing players...Mark Cuban was also talking about resting guys...when they actually start doing it I'll shut down my NBA season. As for tonights game Spurs have enough guys to get the job done....Pop is not going to concede the game..Spurs do want to finish ahead of Dallas so they are not just mailing this one in. Houston just plays tight at home...they are a much better road play than a home play...that's the main reason to play on the Spurs.
