People were shocked by that statement, thinking Kobe should be in the conversation of probably top ten all time let alone top ten guards, but Kobe has a hard time beating the Mavs with such a talented team. Jordan would have absolutely owned the league with this size and talent on a team. Pure shame.

I'm as big of kobe fan as you can find, let me tell you that before I get started. I have grown up watching the guy, following the twists and tails of his career. I know many, many, MANY people from LA (where I'm from) that are the exactly the kinda guys you're talking about: people who are fans of Kobe instead of basketball. I love him because he's a Laker and their my team. Hold it against me if you must (lookin at you guys in the green and white), but I think if you guys had a guy like Kobe on your team, you'd love him too, trust me. And on the comparisons to Jordan, no he's not as good as Jordan was. He just isn't. However, I enjoy the comparison just because it allows me to see how he compares to the best ever at his position. Just being mentioned along with Michael Jordan is something he should be proud of (even though I know he won't be satisfied with that). I'm a fan of the game first, and the Lakers are just my team. I'm just rooting for my guys. Its no different from if I was from any other city, say OKC.Comment -
