Is there anybody on the Heat for the series?

EVERY and I mean every thread I have taken a peek at is taking the C's for the series.

We all know that the Celtics won 3 of the 4 regular season games. Are people forgetting that Wade torched the Celtics last year for over 33 ppg in that series and kept the games in Miami within reach with absolutely no help. Obviously Wade has a little bit more help this year with LeQuit and Chrissy Bosh around. Finally, every one is all high and mighty on the Celtics because they swept an over rated Knicks squad.

I'm not either squad as of yet (leaned Boston at first) but what makes Boston such a perceived lock?

Ray Allen tires Wade out. Wade has been awful in all 4 games this year. KG>Bosh, Pierce and Green play well against Lebron, Jermaine is better than Zydrunas, and most importantly, Rondo is WAY better than Bibby. No way can Bibby and Chalmers keep up with Rondo... look what he did to Douglas last series

I would argue that Boston's strategy last year involved knowing that Wade was going to get his 25+ regardless in every game, and without other serious offensive threats on the Miami team it was enough to emphasize shutting down the Heat's secondary scoring. Wade wasn't going to win it alone, but he had no one else to rely on.

This year it's a different scenario. Miami is an entirely different team, so I don't think it's really fair to compare last year's series to this year's series. The Celtics' gameplan will be different for sure this year as Miami now has the big 3 to contend with. However, it goes both ways. The Heat had very little success contending with the Celtics this season on the defensive end. Both teams will be coming into the series with plans to neutralize the other teams' big scorers, and honestly, Rivers >> Spoelstra.
