could have pulled off the comeback, but why did they continue to foul Dirk. After a basket, somebody should find Dirk and d up. He made like 8 consecutive FTs to ice the game.

secondly, wth is up with aldridge missing 2 free throws? I mean he just threw this game away at the line

um, did u watch the game? they were down by 7... they had to very quickly get points and DAL after the 1 3 was allowing them to drive for easy 2 pts... but very very quickly inbounds the ball to DIRK right after the score... por had no time to setup D to force a pass to someone else and couldn't risk losing time off the clock

Since Mavs gave up easy uncontested layups at least one of Portland's players standing around watching the layup could have found Dirk.

Because Dirk was demanding the ball and hes the easiest player to inbounds the ball to. Its called beast mode and being clutch aka Dirk Nowitzki.

teams always screw this up, it is worth 5-8 seconds to funnel the ball into a guys hands who will not automatically make two free throws.

Yeah the ending was terrible. It happens all the time though Dirk just wasn't missing at clutch time in game.
