thats a really good question... Chris paul is an amazing all around player.. Imagine if he had an explosive drive like rose... There also isnt a pg in the nba that runs the pick and roll play so well

Chris Paul- easily. Derrick Rose is quicker and can finish better at the rim. Chris Paul is a better shooter but he also makes the whole team of scrubs better, now imagine if he played he played with 1 more good player

I love Rose -- he's a bulldog, and at only 22, it's scary to think how good he might eventually be.
I might take Paul, though.

it totally depends on what type of team you have.
But Chris Paul is statistically the better player and statistically the best PG in the game.
Nobody is a bigger Bulls/Rose homer than me, but I'm also a reasonable basketball fan, comparing the stats between the two players, it's clear Chris Paul is on another level right now compared to Rose.
Rose will outplay anybody 1 on 1 though, he's about as physically dominating a player as exists in the NBA for his position, right up there with Lebron or Dwight.

Derrick Rose.
Paul's amazing performance vs the Lakers gives him a deserved 2nd place. It might not be fair to put either of them in 2nd place though, they are both phenomenal.

I will take Derrick Rose. He's only 22, and look at the growth he's made in his game in only his 3rd year. Couldn't shoot a lick when he came in, now he's going to be MVP and dominate the pg position for years.

In statistical categories, there's almost literally nothing Derrick Rose does better than Chris Paul, except shot blocking.
Chris Paul is the better and more efficient shooter and passer, those are the two most important categories for a PG.

Chris Paul in a heartbeat. Best PG in the game and least watched team in the NBA.
Bulls can win without Rose. Hornets are dead in the water without Paul.

well that's just a ridiculous thing to say
Paul is on another level compared to Rose, this is coming from a Bulls homer
This is Rose's break out year, Chris Paul has been playing on a high level for many years

in what way? Instead of all these subjective opinions, where you don't back up any of your answers with objective evidence, I will post some hard numbers for you
TS%
Derrick Rose 55
Chris Paul 57.7
eFG%
Derrick Rose 48.5
Chris Paul 50.1
At Rim FG%
Derrick Rose 60
Chris Paul 61.6
3-9 feet FG%
Derrick Rose 39.7
Chris Paul 45.9
10-15 feet FG%
Derrick Rose 42
Chris Paul 42
16-23 feet FG%
Derrick Rose 38
Chris Paul 45
Three Point %
Derrick Rose 33
Chris Paul 38
So looking at these numbers for the 10'-11' season, we can see that Derrick Rose is less efficient and shoots worse than Chris Paul from everywhere on the floor, except at 10-15 feet, where they're tied

Chris Paul is a better passer, shooter, rebounder, defender, and leader. Seems like a pretty easy choice to me. The only thing that makes me even think twice is Paul's injuries.

A lot of ignorant people here at SBR. Wow. This question isn't even worth asking. 30/30 GM's would give the same answer.

Tough call here. I would take Derrick Rose by the slightest of margin.
