    Bracket Question
Do Teams progress in NBA conference playoffs based on seeds or is the bracket set.

Let me clarify the question. Right now it looks as if :-
    Winner of #1 Spurs v #8 Grizz
    play
    Winner #4 Thunder v #5 Nuggets

However say Grizz upset Spurs do they still play Thunder (assuming Thunder progress) OR do the Grizz play the next highest seed (lets assume that might be the #2 Lakers)

NBA is a fixed bracket unlike NHL or NFL... so the brackets are set and in your scenario, if the grizz upset the spurs, they will play the Thunder if Thunder advances...

Thanks guys. Second question then would be - Assuming in the above example that Thunder and Grizz win would I be correct in sayin that Thunder would get home court advantage ?

no, best record decides home court. Division winners just get a better seed.
