    Lakeshow advances! yeah!!!!!
    ....now we wait.

please let it not be the fukking spurs. these floppers are battle-tested and would be harder to beat 4 games by the lakers. hopefully the trend (home team wins) continues on this series as i'd rather have my lakers face hornets than the fukking spurs! besides no way in hell would david west try that stunt he pulled on nowitzki (a little tap/slap on the face) to any of the 'big three' of lakers. he'd get a technical and if ronnie turiaf is on the floor, im sure turiaf wont mind getting down and dirty with this cocksukker. both being suspended in the process! lol! also, lakers have faced tough guards in the earlier rounds. iverson and deron williams did their thing and their team still fell short. it will be the same fate for cp3 and his hornets. and yeah chandler will be so ineffective against the lakers. the guy needs to learn how to block and shoot a 5-foot jumper. lol!

with all dat (and many more reasons actually), ill be rooting for the young hornets to win on monday to face my lakers! prolly no money play as my gut is telling me fukking spurs are gonna win this game 7. i hope not though. go hornets!

Yo mundane you pretty much summed up everything pretty well. Damn those flopping spurs. I think Manu is the most bullshit flopper in the league, and he is so fake about it too. He will take a shot and nobody touches him and then he will slide across the floor for ten feet. Kurt Thomas and Oberto are just hard fouling thugs who just try to injure people, and can't play actual basketball. I used to like Horry but now he finds a sadistic pleasure in injuring bigtime players. He really is disturbing, especially that smile he puts on afterwards. I would like the Hornets to play the Lakers but I think the Hornets are getting pretty beat up (the spurs will do that to you, for aforementioned reasons) I think the Lakers match up well to any team and can beat the Hornets (easier than the Spurs, which is ironic since I think the Hornets are going to take that last home game) I also think the Lakers can beat any comer since they have very good role players and there own big 3. They can actually beat teams on the road. I think taking the Lakers to win it all would be pretty good. If anyone says...what about the celtics! They are struggling against cleveland. Nobody can even score on cleveland (besides lebron, who has been pretty iffy during this series) I know I am getting ahead of myself here but if the Celts were to use there cleveland strategy on LA they would be screwed since LA has all players who can score. Try to shut down Kobe, you got Gasol or Odom, and trying to shut down the other guys you got Kobe (who is much harder to guard than lebron) will go crazy on ya. I know I am getting ahead of myself on this rant but I think at this juncture it looks like the Lakers will take it (at least in my eyes) Oh btw did I mention LA (who has an excuse for not winning a home game in Utah,) was able to pull it off, since they were the best home team this past season.

History is on New Orleans side, big time!

HISTORICAL VICTORY PROBABILITIES: Tied WWLLWL at HHVVHV:
Considering win order; considering site order: The team winning Games 1-2, losing Games 3-4, winning Game 5, and losing Game 6 with Games 1-2 at home, Games 3-4 on the road, Game 5 at home, and Game 6 on the road (New Orleans) has the following best-of-7 playoff Game 7 record through the 2008 NHL Quarterfinals and NBA Preliminary rounds:
Game 7 record, all best-of-7 sports, all rounds: 23-8 (.742)
Game 7 record, all best-of-7 sports, Qtrs round: 8-3 (.727)
Game 7 record, NBA only, all rounds: 15-3 (.833)
Game 7 record, NBA only, Qtrs round: 7-0 (1.000)

These records are drawn from the applicable 1042 best-of-7 NHL, NBA, and MLB series played through the 2008 NHL Quarterfinals and NBA Preliminary rounds. Note in general that the greater the number of games or series fitting a particular situation, the greater the significance of the corresponding winning fraction: For example, 0.800 is far more likely to come closer to the true winning fraction in a given situation when the corresponding win-loss record is 400-100 rather than 4-1.

The WhoWins(tm) web site provides historical information about best-of-7 format Major League Baseball (MLB), National Basketball Association (NBA), and National Hockey League (NHL) playoff rounds, in the context of current best-of-7 format playoff rounds; it has done so since Spring 1999. In Spring 2008, WhoWins(tm) is providing information in the context of the 2008 NHL and NBA playoffs.

So in plain English, if the home team has won the first six games, the home team is 15-3 in Game 7, 7-0 in this round. I think the Celtics will add to this record, but the Hornets are no lock. Besides, that is a small sample result from such a large population.

As much as I hate to say it the Purrs, thats right purrs cause they are freaking Pussy's, and I don't mean the kitty type. They like the Lakers have the experiance to close out a series. The Hornets had their shot thursday, to advance and they missed the bus. Next stop for them is the end of the season.
The Purrs will flop like a fish out of water on Monday, and thanks to the lack luster scheduling by the league office the purrs have given their senior citizens enough vitamens and Ensure to make it, I feel past the Hornets. The hornets came into the series like killer bees and have transformed to gnats. Not all of it is their fault you got to give alot of the credit to the refs for making sure that all of those flops get called.
Not to fear to the Laker Nation we are on a mission and all who have tried to stop us have failed next stop for us is the championship round, let us not worry about the Purrs or Gnats right now since either way we gots the home court. But lets throw a penny in the wishing well and hope that someone can knock off the Celtics, to make sure we have the Home Court in the championship. By the looks of it it should be hard they are playing like a team from the YMCA anyway. No offense to the YMCA.

Each round is a best-of-seven series. All series except the NBA Finals are played in a 2-2-1-1-1 format, meaning the team with home-court advantage hosts games 1, 2, 5 and 7, while their opponent hosts games 3, 4, and 6, with games 5-7 being played if needed. The NBA Finals are played in a 2-3-2 format, meaning the team with home-court advantage hosts games 1, 2, 6 and 7, and their opponent hosts games 3, 4 and 5. The home-court advantage is determined in all four rounds by record, regardless of seed.
so really it is still up for grabs (pistons). what we want is eastern conference finals going the distance and lakers getting it done (again!) with less games. with that, we'll get homecourt in the finals for sure!

Yo money ya should have read my post on the Spurs. Your hornet can play my LAKERS next year. You hornets had their chance to knock out those spurs, but they chocked. Just like last night, and the only thing that truly surprised me about the game last night, is that the Refs kept their whistles in their pockets. Man hardly any calls and even with that the veterans won. Not to fear the Hornets will be their next year and do a lot better. Hey Mundane don't worry bro I smell a Laker sweep. Are you Going to Wednesday's game.? I'll be there.
