Anyone else like Dallas to cover tomorrow?
Ok, I know what happened last year when Dallas took game one against San Antonio. And I know Portland, in the way they played game one on Saturday (rather, the way Dallas didn't play game one), should have won that game in Dallas. But something tells me this is the year Dallas shakes the demons and gets past round one at least. They need this win cuz Portland is a bitch at home. They need this win cuz Dirk is getting on in years and this is probably the deepest his team has been, despite the injuries.

Dirk and Co. know that Portland are gonna come at them with everything they got. I think the Mavs will be prepared this time. They say they are treating it like another game one. Make sense? Maybe Kidd won't have another three point marathon session but someone else is gonna step up for the Mavs since Nowitzki will probably be double-teamed the entire game. And I'm hoping that Portland will try the fast-break offense they were lacking before and turn the ball over a whole bunch of times.

So here's the cursed stat: The Mavericks have followed eight of their last 10 postseason victories with a loss. I see the line going down to at least Mavs -3. I'll snatch it up then. Who's with me???

Yeah bro! I'm feeling like the lower lines have better chances of covering than the -8 and up favorites. This post-season so far is ugly for taking home favorites but Dallas can close out games proper. I'm not going that big either but I think it's a play.

P.S. I like your Nuggets for the upset in the West...

Think Mavs will win this series but I'm not sure about this game. I'm just going to bet on the final series game.

Yeah, it sucks not being able to play games every night like regular season. I'm learning that it's a pick-and-choose your spots for these playoffs so far. But I think there will be heavy sharp money on Portland at game time and I'll take Dallas then. I've always respected Dirk as a player and I hope the guy gets his team past the first and second round at least.

Ehhh... don't be so sure about sharp's $$$ on blazers tomorrow. The games today were almost 50/50. I think Joe Pub will start betting dogs (Mavs is a dog imo) because dogs were 10:0 ATS, or some stat like that.

Everyone expects Mavs to choke because they do every playoff. I think a lot of sharps put $$ on Blazers Game 1 and got burned. They'll think twice this time.
