Kobe is no longer in the height of his career.

He is still better than 90% of the league though.

Kobe played well, although maybe selfish.

The rest of the team was shit though.

                  This.

Did Kobe hit a shot the last 6 min? I think he went 0-5.

Can't put the blame solely on his teammates... he should be making them better, right? Taking advantage of the double teams, by passing to the open teammate. Kobe just isn't a good passer.

That being said, Gasol did have a pretty bad game.

Gasol, after getting his face bashed in and cut, should have come out of the locker room with an attitude and trying to prove a point..... Nope, he played soft after that. I guess it was too much blood on his pretty face. He better step it up next game if he wants the Lakers to have a chance.

Kobe hasnt been doubled teamed in two years. Watch the next Hornets game. No longer does Kobe blow past defenders, thats why he is always taking low percentage shots. When he makes them it looks really cool but its still an extremely difficult shot.

Kobe is still scoring at a high rate, b/c he smarter than just about everyone else. He doenst jump, or run over defenders anymore. He just out smarts 99% of them.

Lakers bench continues to unimpressed, this will be they're doom in the playoffs as the undersized Hornets exposed them today. Of Course Chris Paul is not going to play that great again, as with Kobe.

He will because the Lakers might assign Kobe on him the rest of the game. Similar to what they did to the league MVP Allen Iverson back in finals, who was unstoppable at the time.

The problem with the Lakers is they are all too old. Their youngest guy, Bynum, plays and moves like he is 40 years old. Lakers are going to be at the bottom of the league in 5 years unless they get Dwight Howard next year.

It's called hyperbole. I know he's done well in the PAST. I'm talking about these playoffs. He's important if the Lakers want to move on in the playoffs. He's actually been average pretty much the latter second half of this year and in non-existent in this game. He didn't show up to this game, and it showed when Jackson benched him in favor of Bynum toward the end of the game.

Kobe should have given Gasol and Bynum more touches. I realize Gasol was off today, but 26 shots from Kobe is exactly what the other team wants, particularly one with an undersized front line.
