While I do think Laker fans are very spoiled, I can understand their frustrations after the Lakers go 17-1 and inexplicably collapse against inferior teams for a 5 game losing streak, and then show up with no energy on the first game of the playoffs against a team that should have no business keeping it close.

They deserved to be booed. That was a pathetic effort. Losing at home to New Orleans in the first game of the playoffs? New Orleans doesn't even have their top scorer. Their interior defense was pathetic.

Lakers lost on purpose. They wan't to drag this series on to 5 games so they don't have too long of a break between series. Everyone knows the Portland-Dallas series could easily go 7. They don't want to go stagnant.

yeah I am not sure what happened there, the Lakers are a puzzling team, hot or not, nothing in between.

Completely true. I live in San Diego, just south, and we have a ton of Lakers fans. They only come out of the woodwork when Lakers are in the Playoffs and Finals. Hell, I have a friend who records every game and then only watches the ones in which they win!
