I don't buy into that. If anything they'd be helping the Hornets since the Hornets are actually owned by the NBA.

Its all about ratings. The NBA is a business. San Antonio and Chicago in the finals isn't going to create nearly as much revenue as a Lakers/Heat matchup. The NBA knows this, and they will try their hardest to make it happen. Ask Tim Donaghy
