OKC - 240 For The Series = Fantastic Value
as good as Denver has been, Oklahoma City has been even better. They have just played fantastic ball since getting Kendrick Perkins (it makes sense too cause this was a fast offensive team that got exactly what they needed in perkins - rebounding, toughness, defense). With a better defensive mindset now (and still having the terrific firepower with Durant and Westbrook), this is a top 5 team in the league IMO. Not only that, OKC beat Denver twice in fairly convincing fashion there late in the regular season

I got OKC winning this in 5, MAYBE 6. Personally I think the real line on this series should be about -500. -240 is a great value and totally worth betting on

I think if this forum had MVP votes, they'd vote for Kendrick Perkins.

he's a great defensive player who gives you a lot of toughness and rebounding

That's EXACTLY what OKC needed. Perkins makes very little differnece on a team like Chicago, but he was the perfect player for OKC

I think they were something like 17-5 after getting KP

All depends on how banged up Denver is, if they really arnt, I see no value in -240.

No, no. I get it. Perkins off the Celtics, Celtics = 1st round losers. Perkins on OKC, OKC = title contenders. Thus Kendrick Perkins is the 20 min per game center equivalent of the 2nd coming of Michael Jordan.

the perkins thing with Boston is massively overrated. Boston has really struggled cause of poor offense, not bad defense. They are only giving up about 91 ppg this year (less than last year)

for OKC though, they have always had an explosive offense. Now they have the toughness and defense they didn't have before

It was "great" value when it opened at -180, but this series is not that lopsided. The Denver streetballers could get hot and win some games with outside shooting. However, they have no go to guy like OKC has in Durant & Westbrook and will struggle to execute.

                          at -180, it's a steal

at -240, it's still a REALLY good line

Denver just doesn't match up well at all with OKC

they lost 2 games against OKC by a combined like 20 points there late in the season

Denver is a light oklahoma city. Everything they do, OKC does a lot better. Denver has no chance IMO

Refs favoring OKC and Denver just like it happened in game 1, comes down to a shot or two and down 3 real late... Denver looked helpless and Felton shot an incredibly low % 3. They had 22 seconds, you either take an open 3 or drive for a two and extend the game... Denver doesn't have the go-to guy.

I say OKC pulls out another home win. They look ready and had to be to get past Denver in game 1.
