If that poll is accurate shouldn't the Blazers be the favorite? No, the Mavs are -215 and the Blazers are +185. The sample size for the poll is nearly 30,000 votes, that's not that small and many espn readers are bettors. This makes no sense to me, please explain.

My guess is that the public is on the Blazers because their taking a chance at +185 to make a nice come up. Mav's are favored because they should have no problem with the Blazers. But that is why they play the games, lol. Good Luck man.

You ever see the Streak for the Cash matchups. 90% will pick a side that is +110 ML. They just don't care about lines. Like tonight SD Padres are a dog but a whopping 92.2% are picking them.

I think its because every analyst on espn has portland upsetting dallas. You'd be surprised how many puppets live with us. They hear it. They believe it

Actually on espn.com six picked Portland and seven picked Dallas (including the scouting report which you must be an insider to read). I'm sorry but you're wrong on this one.

This is going to be a classic example of the public backing a dog & getting straight-owned. Dallas will take this series in either 5 or 6 games.

all that that means is the dallas mavericks series bet is the lock of the playoffs. which in turn means they will get assaulted by the lakers in round 2

So out of 13 analyst 6 picked the underdog to win the series? That sounds like alot of hype to me. I'm just saying.

When your backing an underdog your argument for them (especially ML) is always a lot more extensive.. So a lot more time was spent on talking about Portland as we all saw.. IMO that's what led the public to have a lean on Portland.. Those analysts get paid a lot of money to sound persuasive ..
