East playoff picture is set (i think)
    Bulls vs Pacers
    Miami vs Philly
Boston vs NY (NY can tie Philly but have the tiebreaker with a better division record. They can also tie Atl but Atl has the conf tiebreaker on them so i think its locked)
    Orlando vs Atlanta.

Damn, it sucks that it wont be Heat vs Knicks

Stern must be regretting that too.

see, and people say the league is fixed.

Yep, the East field is set. Who do you guys have coming out of the East? I'm thinking Bulls and would be shocked if Boston somehow got their shit together in time for the playoffs. Just haven't been the same since the Perkins trade.

I like Philly over the Heat for a potential upset if there is one, but I don't see any of the faves losing. There is a big gap between the top 4 in the East and the rest, minus Philly, who has played solid for a few months now

I think i'm gonna take Bulls and Heat to come out of the East (play them both). I also doubt the Celtics. Its not Perkins that worries me but if Shaq cant contribute they have no chance, i just dont see them turning on a switch, age is too much of a factor. Especially now that they lost home court to Miami.

Yea, I think either the Bulls or the Heat will win the East as well. I don't know about the 76ers upsetting the heat though...

I smell a NBA Championship in Chicago this year.

Lakers VS Bulls, Bulls in 6 or 7 games.

None of the match ups in the 1st round look very intriguing in the East. I think Chicago sweeps Indi, Orlando sweeps Atlanta, Miami wins in 5, and Boston wins in 6. The 2nd round match ups should be great.

You know that Atlanta is 3-1 vs the Magic this year right?

I'm not saying that this means much, but i definitely dont see a sweep there.

boston and new york are huge rivals. why would stern want miami vs new york? wait till next year when the knicks have cp3

why? because it would get huge ratings and would be good for the NBA.

                            ps. Knicks arent getting CP3.

I don't think OKC/Spurs West Final is possible, that will be second round matchup.

Besides, Lakers will win West anyway.

Too bad Boston doesn't know they are rivals.

Heat vs Knicks, now thats a Rivalry.

Should be interesting. I agree there shouldn't be much to get excited about in the first round, but the rest of the playoffs should be fun!

I think Bulls have a good chance to win the East and Spurs the West. You can't count out Lakers or Heat though. Will be pretty interesting this year.
