I don't know, Suns haven't hit a 3 yet. They'll probably light it up from deep in the 2nd half.

And what? You think Dallas will shoot 30% for the entire game too? Phoenix should be ahead by 15+ at the half based on those shooting numbers instead of 5... You don't get chances like that against the Mavs all the time, and the Suns wasted this one.

Went big on Phoenix +3.5 before the game, but the fact that Dallas shot so poorly and hung around scared me. Think they might turn it on 2nd half, so I hedged w/ Dallas -3 2H. Suns by 1 or Dallas by 1/2/3 would make my night!

Yeah this is a smart analysis right here. Suns have been playing theri hearts out, Mavs have been terrible, only 5 point lead tells you something.

Dallas was -2.5/3 for the game -- not +2.5/3. They're only down 5 at half.

It'd be reasonable to put them as a PK at this point if the books felt like they had a chance to win, wouldn't it?

it's a basketball game. Guessing the number within 2 points for a halftime line isn't difficult. The difficulty lies in guessing within 2 points and being on the correct side of your 2 point differential. I'd take The mavericks if I were to pick a side for the 2H, but I wouldn't feel great about it.

Spurs/Denver was a 5 point game at half and the line was -5 for the 2nd half. Denver won the 2nd half and the game.

If it was at 5 books would be leaning Dallas or just trying to eat the juice. They liked the Suns. I think Dallas can still pull this off.

First of all. Books don't like anyone, they just try to get equal action on both sides. maybe they wanted more money on dallas. Most of the time a game will have fouling at the end which transposes to FT's. So a team winning by 1 with 10 seconds left could easily end up winning by 5 or more. It's just too complicated to use line movement as your main base for selecting a team.
