Thanks; I like Dallas and Denver tonight but not enough to play them, even in a teaser. I locked in what I was waiting for in these playoffs - 3 championship teams coming off crappy games and playing at home with vengeance in mind. I hope I'm right.

#1228No....true "going Roag" is actually when Roag goes through a dead spell and then he goes all in.... that's "going roag"Originally posted by RoagBettorIt's my biggest teaser this season for a reason. The "old" Roag would have gone all-in on it that's how good I feel about it, but if it happens to lose I'm still well on my way to the project goal. I don't want to start over again it's a LOT of work to get to where we are today and I'm going to get to the 5K.
Thanks buddy, glad you made some money today on soccer!

#1237Books appear to be begging for Phillie and Oswalt money bro..
Philly sits at around the -125 range this early morning vs. an inept Arizona team that is just 1-4 last 5 games....
It is not like Oswalt is facing a great pitcher either..Daniel Hudson is 0-4 with a 5.92 ERA and coming off a horrible outing in which he gave up 7 runs in 5.1 innings. Hudson has been having first inning difficulties. His last outing, he was in a 4 run hole after the first.
Oswalt has been basically unbeatable as a Philly, until he dropped a 4-3 decision to Florida on 4/15, a game in which he pitched fairly well. Roy is also coming off a 3-0 shutout v. San Diego, allowing only 1 hit over 6.0 innings.
^^^ Above is all of the "public" knowledge and thinking... but let's go deeper.
Oswalt's previous game vs. San Diego looks real nice doesn't it? A 3-0 win and a 1 hitter into the 6th, but Oswalt actually struggled in the game throwing 106 pitches in 6 innings... That is a fairly big pitch count for Roy in this early season... he has been right around 88-90 pitches in his other games.. Roy has also been fighting back spasms and is not 100% according to his pitching coach... In fact his fastball was a couple of mph off in that game v. San Diego...This spells trouble. Coupled with a possible tired arm and we have the makings of a struggling pitcher tonight.
Phillie's bats have been a bit dead of late even through this winning streak scoring just 4, 3, 2, 4, 3, and zero as they were shut out last night.
I also like the fact that Philly just broke their winning streak and Arizona just broke their losing streak which suggests that they each could be going opposite ways in this streaky league.
Have I booked it? No
Will I book it? Maybe...
But it is food for thought and it shows why Philly is just a -125 fave v. Arizona..That line is not a mistake as most of the public will think and the value just may be on Arizona.

#1251Who do you suggest I should get an account with if I'm interested in playing your teasers and soccer plays? Boomaker (teasers) or 5Dimes (soccer)? I believe those are the two you are using for these? I already have a Pinnacle account with 0 balance (I guess a good alternative to 5 Dimes anyway), but I can only fund one account right now... so where's more money to be made?

BookMaker is great for the teasers. I'll also be using their 3 Team/10 Point football teasers (-120) and their 2 Team/6 Point NCAA football teaser at +100.Comment -

#1255LOL I didn't forget about you! I've been working on this totals system for the past 2 years. It originally started out looking for fixed matches (which is another story and something I will pursue again soon because I was hitting some nice +300 odds bets), but then I noticed a pattern on totals. I've refined it to the point where if the match doesn't fit the system 100% I don't play it, even if I'm confident the match will go over. That type of discipline is what I've lacked in the past, and it led to unnecessary losses. No system is perfect and there will definitely be losing streaks, but I've been doing this long enough now that I feel if I only bet pure system plays I (we!) should be well ahead at the end of the year.Originally posted by JBTRoag, what are your thoughts on your current great soccer totals performance? Would you say it's more of a lucky winning streak combined with good capping or have you actually found a way to cap these games with a potential for a constant high hit percentage? I guess what I'm asking here is, how likely would you say is an eventual bad loosing streak to even it all out and get us down to a less ridiculously great percentage? I hope I don't violate any unwritten rules by asking this

When you say "patterns", is it the books "giving" you hints, based on the odds given etc or just who's playing who, their past performance etc, in other words teams historical stats? Thanks again for sharing your plays with us!Comment -

#1257For totals, the books are a small component of my system but they do give me an indication of what not to bet on; as you know, I will rarely play anything with heavy juice. If you see 2 teams that are high-scoring machines and the total is 2.5 and heavily juiced, I won't touch it. Why isn't that total 3, or 2.5,3? Yeah some of it has to do with lineups and injuries, but often the books are sucking you in on certain matches (more on that later).Originally posted by JBTHaha, you did not reply initially so I was like "fu*k, he's probably gonna be all over my ass for jinxing his plays or something if or when we eventually lose" so figured I'm better off just scratching my blasphemous question lmao

But most of my criteria has to do with simple things such as recent performance, historical performance, and things like weather, the day of the week they're playing on, etc. LOL it's just a bunch of things that I look at and then put them all in the pot, then I add my super-secret ingredient that no one will ever know!
