If you are randomly choosing to buy 3 points, it will hurt you in the long run. Of the games in which you buy 3, you have to hit at about a 63% rate (assuming you get -170 juice). That extra 11% is huge and in most cases, buying the 3 doesn't secure enough wins to compensate for the decreased winnings per bet that you hit.
Best of luck nevertheless. I followed Cheme a couple months ago doing a 3 point buying system. We used the half-point calculator to find the edge gained when you bought 3 points.Comment -

Well statistically I can expect a coldstreak. If I hit at a rate of 53% in the long run and I bet 100 more games this season, I can expect to hit a cold streak of about 6 games. If I bet 200 games, I can expect to lose 7 straight at some point.
As for the picks today, the line movement on the Spurs is intimidating, and if the Celtics drop any lower that will be a little bit of a worry (maybe some people know more things than usual that I do not). If you are looking for a solid play, I say the Magic are it today.
Edit: if we include the 55 games I have played, the expected cold streak goes up so just keep that in mindComment -
