So now free throw % determines who the better PG is? If he shot 100% from the line, he would add 1 point to the Cs score. One. He takes less than 2 FTs per game.

He's got the best court vision of any PG (except maybe Nash) and he's 1 of, if not the best defensive PG.

I'll take a JKidd style PG (great passer, good scorer, avg/poor shooter) over a guy who can shoot at a higher % but doesn't get his guys the best looks

I will say that he's all-world on offense and deserving of the MVP this year. He's got a better killer instinct that any PG in the league. But I like my PGs to be complete. With that said, he's lucky he has a great coach who implemented a great defensive system, and has Noah/Deng/Brewer to mask his deficiencies on D. Those 3 are 3 of the most solid defensive players in the league. Boozer also grabs boards well.

The top 5 PGs are close and Rose is in that conversation. I'd give it to D-Will though. Kid is a complete PG. Putting up numbers on a fukkin brutal Nets team. Guys like Kris Humphries are putting up good numbers because of him...KRIS HUMPHRIES!!!

In Rondo's defense, he shoots better than 50% from the field. He is a poor FT shooter and that's the biggest hole in his game. He gets to the line once or twice a game so it really has a minimal effect on the game itself. He's clearly the best playmaker and defender at the PG spot, which are the PG's main duties. In those 2 categories he is elite. If someone said Rondo is the best PG in the league, it shouldn't bother anyone.

The game is played 2 ways.

Also, you don't have to be a good shooter to be a good scorer. Shaq is one of the best scorers of all-time, yet he couldn't make any baskets outside of 10 feet. He knows his limitations and used it to his advantage, just like Rondo is doing. And Rondo is doing it well, shooting over 50% from the field.

His comfort zone for scoring is <10 feet. He gets to the rim better than any PG, except for maybe Rose. Rondo creates tons of opportunities by getting in the paint, not just for himself but for his teammates (he doesn't always get the assist btw... there's a lot of secondary passes to hit the open guy).

I disagree... put any of those PGs out there, and their numbers go way down. They are more like shooting guards that handle the ball than PGs who shoot (other than Nash). Rondo is the best PG at creating opportunities for his teammates
