Bibby gave up $6 million to join the Heat
He gave up his whole 2011-2012 salary of $6 million to join the Heat...anyone else find that unbelievable?

I'd say there's a good chance the big three chipped in $2 million each in a suitcase full of cash. Anyone else have that feeling?

"A few years ago, we tried -- we had an opportunity to get him in Cleveland," James said after Tuesday's 2½-hour team film study and practice session. "It didn't work out, when he was getting traded away from Sacramento and went to Atlanta. So I've had some conversations with him and said, 'It would be good to have you as our point guard.' It's good that it's come full circle."

"It will be good to have a veteran, experienced point guard -- someone who can control games, someone that knows how to give the ball up at certain times and knock down big shots," Wade said. "Spread the floor, make great decisions and [create] a lot of easy baskets. It's not going to happen fast, but it's something we can work out with Mike."

6m for a title shot and a ring... not bad IMO.. thus helping the three wild kings... a good leader on the court IMO.. nice shot bibby

Miami definitely need a pg who can make big plays late in games. I'm not too sure Bibby is gonna do that. Just slightly better than Arroyo tbh. And he can't defend.

I still cant decide if I'm rooting for the Heat or not... Players are making less money to win a ring, but it can also come across as selfish. The NBA playoffs this year will be AMAZING to watch

I think it was a dick move for Bibby because I don't think he will get a championship for his efforts this season. Evidently he has been good with his money and can take the risk. If nothing else it gets him out of the D-league in Washington.

because bibby has only made $100 million dollars in his nba career, i am shocked at this decision and should be checked into a mental institution asap
