Lakers ML so tempting for big bet

Lakers ML appears to be a pretty strong play to go on for a pretty big amount considering their dominance over twolves but twolves are coming off a big win and lakers are due for a letdown game. I think twolves will also probably cover but could very well be blown out....also like the over in this one.

Anyone on this one? I'd probably put down 5.4k to win 1k, but on the road and lakers' tendency to play like garbage are scary indeed

I have my eye on Lakers ML as well..... but I had Lakers ML in a 8 team parlay a few weeks back and they lost to the Cavs!!!!

That day I had 7 out of 8 games right and the Lakers burried me.

When does a -500 something bet ever look tempting?? Especially to a person who believes the Lakers are due for a "let down". Don't do it. Because if you lose you are out a nice chunk of change. And if you do win, the only thing it will do is give you false confidence into trying another bet like this. Bro, I've been betting games for a long while lol....yeah, you bring up good points for sure. I've bet heavy on ML games....in fact, most of the successful bettors are typically those who play large best on ML games. I have lost on them big before, and boy does it hurt when it happens...I do think lakers will have a letdown at some point, but not sure if they lose straight up against twolves, although it is definitely possible. I have a pretty decent bankroll and won't be out big if lakers lose but it'll still be a huge loss for sure. I'll keep considering it and see later if i wanna place it or not. Think minnesota probably covers the spread tho.

Icehouse, i think the last time I parlayed an nba game was about 2 yrs ago....not a fan of parlays at all and would never do them for big money. I love betting games straight up and for decent wagers, make serious money on it with better odds than parlays. Nonetheless, we'll see how it goes....I've stayed away from playing large ml favorites as of late, so maybe i should continue to do so.

hmmm, yeah....don't be fooled by the more notable examples such as billy walters and such as being the prototypical successful sports bettor. Go hang out with some successful securities investors on wall street and other heavy investors...you will be more than surprised actually. Matter fact, go to some GA meetings and you will occasionally meet gamblers who were quite successful doing this (but rather are at the meetings to stop gambling b/c it's a character flaw lol). But then again, if you're betting too big for a bankroll (I'm probably assuming yours is quite small) then you'll be in trouble anyways.......playing those type of heavy ml games definitely requires a solid bankroll, agree with that....but don't make claims that it is not.

I disagree with never laying that kind of number....there are definitely opportune times to go big on such numbers. I definitely agree that if you think a team can't cover the spread, then it's probably not a good idea betting them on ML either (occasional exceptions but still a solid general rule)

I dont agree with the statement if you doubt if they are going to make the spread you should not bet ML. I think the opposite is true. When facing big spreads like 7+ betting ML has more value. Since teams when they are 7 up or so with little time left are not going for 9 they just want to run down clock they dont care if they win with 5, 7, 9 they want to win. When there is a spread 9+ i think it is much better to bet ML

In this case i dont know. Lakers lost @cavs. lakers seems a team dont caring time to time.

I've also been staying away for the most part from large ML bets cuz of the emotions that run on during the games and such. Honestly, I would actually play this but I won't be able to watch or track the game as much as I'd like and will be busy out....might possibly play it closer to 8pm, which is around when I gotta go out anyways.

It is a bad bet long term. It looks easy, and maybe it will be for this game, but you will be a long term loser betting this way regardless of the size of your bankroll.

haha, you have a point brosuf and trust me I've been on both ends of this.....losing those hurt much more than winning them, that's why it's ultracritical to play it at the right time. If twolves had not beaten celts, I think for sure I would have jumped on this one with ease.....nonetheless, if I didn't have to leave I still woulda played it. None of that is important tho cuz I didn't, and that's all that matters.

Nothing like the rush of betting huge and then winning (of course I'm not addicted to rush tho lol).

ill either make 400 or 160 from today. still, happy with that. I knew oklahoma st would win and cover and i knew memphis would smash the spurs. had chelsea in the epl dnb also bit everton cost me. dogs.
