Danny Ainge is every sportsbook's best friend right now
All the sportsbooks are in love with Danny Ainge trading away half the team and taking the 99% of bettors' money.

And Boston still should have had a good chance to win this game, clearly they came out playing like they were emotionally hurt and upset about the trades that went down.

Or they came out like a team that only had 9 active players, including 1 who had just been called up. The crazy mixing of line ups and lack of depth is what lost this game... they were definitely in the game mentally

They are preparing for a major move next year. They have gotten a promise from a future free agent.

No one told me this, but its my opinion.

They let go of Perkins b/c he wouldnt sign an extension, I think thats a shitty reason, b/c you go for a championship, everything else isnt of any importance.

Definitely having only 9 players was the main factor for the Celtics losing today. But the starting line up was still there, and Kendrick Perkins so far had never been a major part of the Celtics rotation this year (and was injured and likely a DNP tonight).

I dunno. I would think that a team with quite possibly the best chemistry in the league should be able to compete against a team which has barely practiced and is almost like a pick-up game team with 4 new players coming in.

True that the Celtics gave away their main advantage over Miami and that every season at this point is a one-shot-wonder for the championship due to their age. Celtics front office must have known something about Perkins that we don't, maybe his injuries are worse than we all think.

I honestly think Dwight is coming in (not sure if he's FA this offseason or next). Orlando obviously isn't doing it for him, and he wants to win. Maybe its just me being optimistic as a Cs fan, but I could see it happening.

Get the Big 3 to stay for another year or 2, with Rondo and Dwight starting, Baby, Green, Delonte, Shaq off the bench. Omg that would be a dream lineup.

              I can dream, right?

                From nba.com...

"The Celtics suited up just nine players and had to fight through the emotions of losing center Kendrick Perkins, who was dealt to Oklahoma City for forward Jeff Green in the biggest of Boston's trio of trades Thursday."Tough day to play basketball," Kevin Garnett said. "Very tough day to play basketball, to even concentrate. Just being bluntly honest. You feel like you lost a family member today. Tough day."

"It was very emotional, especially for me being that I had a chance to see Perkins grow up from Day One, fresh out of high school, coming in here and seeing the level he got to, a championship team," said Paul Pierce. "It's definitely emotional. I had a chance to talk to him this afternoon a little bit, he was definitely hurt. The guys around this locker room were definitely hurt to see Perk go."

Shoulda at least kept him for this year. But maybe they knew he was gone after this.
