Deron Williams sat out the second half of Utah's loss on Wednesday because of a bruised tailbone.
"I'm definitely slowed down by it,'' Williams said. "I see openings and I can't get to them just because I can't push off, I can't explode like I'm used to." The Jazz dug a huge hole against the Spurs, and having Williams healthy for the playoffs is clearly more important than attempting an improbable comeback (even though homecourt advantage was at stake). Despite the injury, he isn't expected to miss any time during the playoffs.

That's good news for the Rockets, but Rafer Alston is also expected to miss the first couple games.
Rockets starting point guard Rafer Alston will be sidelined a minimum of one week, the club announced Tuesday. Alston underwent an MRI on Tuesday which revealed a moderate to severe strain of his right hamstring. Alston suffered the injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game at Denver and did not play Monday night at Utah. Bobby Jackson will likely start in his place until he's healthy again, including in Wednesday's finale against the Clippers and at least a game or two of the playoffs.Comment -
