With regards to determining and capping the percentages you mentioned, no I did not but did quite a bit of analysis on both games although I can't give you any concrete numbers. Also, there was certainly more value in the Lakers game...w/o a doubt, I'm just happy that lakers were in an excellent position and the spread on it actually not up to where it should have been and late pre-game money shifted that minutes before the game but i didnt wanna take any risks with the spread. Heat was more so a play that was based on absolute mismatches against the kings, dominance at home against the kings, kings' performance without star player evans (contrary to how other teams perform w/o star player), etc.

Hope you also fared well bud....bol to you tomorrow.
parlayed the Heat -18 with Lakers -7 and played the Lakers -7 for a fairly nice chunk. It was a good day. Don't let people tell you how value is the way to bet. Value is important but winning your wagers is and always will be the most important factor in this. I don't need to tell you. You know what's up.

MadRabbit's betting style is a good example of picking the right spots and hitting them. Plenty of value on high chalk when it's a winner!

Interesting thread. Great forum! madrabbit you are right on the money with how big punters bet. I'm not one myself, but here in OZ the pros make these huge plays on short priced favourites all the time. I can see how it can be dismissed as "only" making $670 on Miami, but it was today's game with the highest probability for a profit & I took it also.

Value is the way to bet long term. Thats how you win in the end.

The bet was Heat ML at -1600 for 10k last night. He won $625.

At that rate, one lost out of 16 and you break even. You have to be right about 94% of the time. Seems a little unreasonable to me.

Theres a reason successful long term bettors bet the spread. If you wanna do ml go with the dogs.

Good luck with your money, sir. I wish nothing, but the best for you.
