    Tank time for Utah?
    Let's see:

If Utah wins they most likely will face San Antonio in the first round.

If Utah loses they will most likely get a first round bye (Houston).

If Utah doesn't tank tonight, they're out of their minds.

Give me Spurs moneyline, baby! (Unless someone can convince me otherwise).

No one's responding so I'll rebut myself:

If the Spurs lose, they'll get the Jazz most likely.

If the Spurs win, they'll get the Suns most likely.

What if the Spurs want the Jazz over the Suns?

I would say there's a significant chance that we could see two teams TRY TO TANK THE SAME GAME!

This is not a joke. Any opinions?

If the better team usually wins in a normal game, what happens when both teams try to tank?

If Utah is sane, they'll want Houston (who they just beat without ANY trouble).

On the other hand, the Spurs must have tons of confidence against Utah (whom they beat without any trouble in last year's playoffs). However, the Suns always give the Spurs a challenging match up and with Shaq, San Antonio might be the underdog in a series.

So, the two teams both tanking this game is a real possibility. It's keeping me from taking San Antonio ML.

On second thought, the Spurs are the world champs, they should be ultra-confident. Give us home court and we'll beat anyone!

They're bringing Ginobli back for this game and that's a sign that they aren't tanking.

        I'm taking Spurs ML.

        Thanks for reading my thoughts.

IMHO, this game will be scripted. Utah could be competitive in the first half to fool the bettors but they will collapse at some point and give the game away. This is a bold prediction I know. But I've seen it a million times. Utah will absolutely collapse at some point and trail comfortably for the rest of the game.

I didn't say the Spurs would cover though.

The should push it over to cover however they've been struggling lately, winning is what matters.

                  two cents

Throwing all scenarios out the window. The first thing that jumps out at me is the teams records.

Utahs overall record is 54-27, losing 23 of those on the road ***

San Antonio obviously wins alot at home with the home record being 33-7...

Judging from this perspective, looks like to me the lines makers are begging you to play on S.A. being the line is only -4.

Just wanted to throw that out.

You almost had me on this post, just so hard to predict the out comes of these game here on the last day. Cant wait until 40 games in 40 nights. I will not get burned out. Way to break the game down RW, and thx for sharing your thoughts on it. Love how you bounced back and fourth on it LOL. No matter the scenario looks like the spurs just cant be beat at home and Utah always sux on the road
