    Bos @ GS
    Who do you like?

I kind of like the Celtics a bit. GS has a pretty impressive 19-11 home record which makes me hesitate a bit.

But most of that has been beating up on the weak teams. 13-5 vs u500 teams and 6-6 vs o500. 6-6 vs good teams isn't bad, but looking at who they beat most of those aren't very good road teams, like the Nuggs, Blazers, Bulls, etc. Their best win would have to be vs the Thunder. If you look at teams at a more elite level like the Celtics they lost to all of them 0-4 (Spurs, Lakers, Heat), just 2-7 as a home dog.

Celtics are as rested as they can be. They come in with a 15-9 road record, 11-6 as a road favorite. 5 of those loses came on b2bs. Its an interesting match-up cause everything GS is great at on offensive, Boston is great at on defense.

GS 7th in scoring, Bos #1 in opp. points.
2nd in fastbreak vs 2nd in fastbreak D
8th in ast vs 1st in ast D
    8th in fg% vs 3rd fgD
    1st in 3 point vs 5th in 3 point D

I think a rested elite defensive team should be able to stifle a decent run and gun (sort of) team.

Last but not least, all 11 of GS home loses 27 out their 29 total loses have been by 5 points or more which covers this game.

I'll take Boston's defense over GS's uptempo offense. Giving these Celtic old timers a couple days rest will help too.

IF Boston can control the tempo I'd take the under too. It's been moving up to 199. That's the play I like. I'm on the edge about them covering a strong home team. It is tempting though at the current line.

I almost prefer the Lakers to cover at home instead, especially after Kobe getting his rhythm going at the AS game, after losing some bad games on the road. I think they'll want to make a statement and keep the engergy going at Staples.

I kind of like GS + the points, but notice the ML has moved in Boston's favor.

If some how I can manage to get the Warriors at +6, buy the point or whatever, I'll take it. Garnet, Pierce, and Allen all had a busy weekend. Pierce has a nagging wrist injury to go with this team being already beat up. Semih Erden is back BUT! just got back from Turkey where he went to take care of his ill mom. Is he gonna be in game shape after being away so long and not getting a whole lot of practice in? Probably not. Ray Allen is gonna struggle guarding a quicker Ellis.

Warriors have actually been playing some great ball lately, at home atleast, where they beat both Chicago and OKC.

If the Celtics come out sluggish tonight they're gonna be slapped in the face by the Warriors who can cause turnover and rake up the fast break points.

I think GS is the play. Boston usually weak first game after All Star games.

I dont even think West or Erden will matter in this game. Bostons rested starting 5 will just shut down GS. Ellis is faster then Allen, but its a good thing Boston plays defense as a team so it wont matter much either. Just cause Allen and Pearce shot a few 3 pointers and played 15 min a peace in the all-star break doesn't mean they had a busy weekend. Its called all-star BREAK for a reason.

I also think that Boston is going to rape GS tonight but ended up betting on GS. I bet to loose on purpose in hoping to win by a fluke of nature.

Heard a lot today on sportscenter about how Celts haven't won @GSW since Garnett joined. Should keep in mind that Celts only play @GSW once a year, so don't think it's as relevant to say Celts have trouble winning at Oracle Arena. Sticking with my theory of always playing elite teams on the road against mediocre teams - on Celtics here.
