Big thanks IMG for the college plays!! NBA hasn't been too good for me the past 3 days, But made some profit for the night, thanks to your excellent NCAAB picks. I don't know whats wrong now. I picked winners for almost daily for a month straight and now NBA seems quite difficult. Maybe a small break from pro hoops would do me good.

2nd straight Sat night I leave for a few hours and the NBA is, of all things, unpredictable.

Best days of the pro season are behind us, proceed with caution. Next year I'm gonna become a student of that NCAAB. Thanks again to the ace NCAAB cappers -- seems there's always something extra to the bottom line when I let you guys define the universe and pick the handful of games in there that appeal to me the most.

The win tonight on the NY-MIL total was lucky -- only thing better would have been a middle. For tomorrow, made a couple of afternoon plays in hedgable volume: oMIN, uCLE, uPHI. If I hadn't very recently sworn off games involving a certain team, I'd like SEA. DH has me looking hard at LAC. Also looks like a good spot for IND (or moreso a tough spot for PHI). Going to mull PHX-DAL for a while longer.

Rockets? Haven't yet read about the SA-POR game tonight, but I don't see why not. POR rates dead last in the L over last 10 games. HOU's only 19th, but rising. VanGundy, who is not liberal with the praise, was ecstatic about the way his team played D and shared the ball against Denver on Friday night.

On their last road trip POR got hammered night after night, then jumped up for a cover AND a win in that one weird game at Charlotte off a BTB. Just hope this game doesn't fit that profile. It woulsn't seem to, because of HOU's recent quality.

My bad on confusing typography. Just means that the pointspread based on my 10-game power ratings would be Houston by 15.40 points over Portland.

GS really sucks...they really look like a team that doesn't want to play anymore.

After teams play the Spurs they usually go to Houston or Dallas and get blown out. Not to thrilled with the 11.5 but Portland is just brutal and we all know Houston is playing much better. Sill would not bet the ranch on it.

I'm getting that way with the Bucks as well, Alamo. But Utah is still #1 on the list, and on their own special no-play list, too.

Which is too bad because I REALLY like Seattle today -- they got to the top of the mountain against DET and slipped back just a bit at the end. A team like that is motivated next time out. The Jazz got up for the ESPN game Friday, plus they got a bounce from a dramatic Jerry Sloan move at Thurs practice -- waiting until they were all dressed and out there and then sending them straight home because they are worthless, etc. Sloan's quote after the LAC game was something like: "The players came out and played hard tonight. That was interesting." Doesn't sound like a team with any solutions.
