I'm going to wait closer to gametime to see if i can get a better line. It opened at -2 -105/+2 -105 and is up to -3 -103/+3 -107 at pinny. Miami and boston will be the public plays today. I can't see the public going 2-0 today. I may put some change down on the bulls. I feel good about them after they came through against the spurs.

The Twolves are 13-36 (.220) overall, 9-21 (.300) at home, and 5-12 against their conference. The Twolves are on a 7 game losing streak having lost 13 of their last 15 games at home. They are flat out terrible team who have no edge playing at home. Their only decent wins at home were against the Knicks (.518) and the Hornets (.583). Their other 7 wins at home were against sub .400 teams who are terrible on the road: Bucks (.379 Overall) 8-22 road, Clippers (.350 Overall) 5-24 road, Cavs (.190 Overall) 3-27 road, Pistons (.361 Overall) 7-23 road, Nets (.288 Overall) 4-27 road, Wizards (.259 Overall) 1-28 road, and the Raptors (.271 Overall) 5-24 road. Do you see the trend? The Twolves have only beat teams who have records under .400 overall .300 on the road (excluding the Knicks and the Hornets).

Golden State are 4 games shy of .500 who are a good team at home and not so good on the road. Their overall record is 26-31 (.456), 19-13 (.594) at home, and 7-18 (.280) on the road. These two teams met in November in Minnesota where the Warriors won 104-94. GSW shot extremely well that game (50%). Curry had 20 points, Ellis had 26 points, and Wright had 30 points that game. GSW allowed only 39% shooting and forced 21 turnovers. These two teams met again in December where Golden State won 108-99. GSW shot 50% once again and allowing 45% shooting and forcing 21 turnovers. Curry didn't play this game and GSW still managed to win this one.

This is the first road game of a 7 game road series for GSW. They will be on the road for a week and a half, and I see them having no problem starting it off with a win against the Twolves. Golden State has won five straight against Minnesota and six of seven at the Target Center. I see them bouncing back after losing to the Celtics and the Hawks at home. GSW should be feeling confident about this game considering their history with the Twolves.

Lakers have been playing better as of late. Im going with the Lakers over the Thunder. Steve Blake is actually looking to take shots now, and artest has been involved offensively and he has had success at slowing down Durant.

Currently 76% of the bets are on the over on this game. I capped my total for this game at 189 and decided to play the over for 1 unit. Honestly speaking, I usually only play sides and rarely play totals. I haven't been doing well choosing sides so I'm going to start playing totals and see how that goes. I have created a method of capping totals and we will see how i do. To answer your question, I don't know if I would consider it to be a "safe" bet but chances are good that this game will go over. Both of these teams have averaged 96 points per game. The Blazers have scored over 100 ppg last 4 of their 5 games. Atlanta has allowed over 100 points in 3 of their last 5 games. The total has gone OVER in 7 of Portland's last 8 games. The total has gone OVER in 4 of Portland's last 5 games at home. The total has gone OVER in 6 of Atlanta's last 8 games when playing Portland.
