Spurs are just covering and killing everything right now. Especially against sub .500 teams. I can't see them winning by less that double digits here.
Any thoughts?

Spurs shoot to kill but 8 seems a bit too steep for a road game.

Spurs lost to the 76ers a few days ago. They are a sub-.500 team. They're probably the best sub-.500 team out there though. The Nets are playing their last game in a home stand and hit the road after tomorrow. They might want to play to the best of their abilities. I'd lean SA, but not to thrilled about giving away 8 pts. GL!

Nets have lost at home though to teams way worse than San Antonio by double digits however. Just take a look at the Knicks game they just lost by 10+ points at home yesterday.

Nets can surprise teams and make it close...so -8 may be too high...BOL

Four home games so far in February and the Nets have gone 1-3. All three losses were by 10 points or more to the Knicks, the Pacers and the 76ers.
Their lone win was against a struggling New Orleans Hornets team.
San Antonio Spurs are a better team than the Knicks, Pacers and 76ers. This is a tough one to call but I am leaning Spurs (-8)

If I've learned anything in my two years of betting and 25 years of watching the NBA, it's that you have to treat each game as an isolated incident. It's more about the situation on a given night (travel, motivation, etc.) than what's happened in the past vs. other teams.
In theory, this is a good play. As a gambler, I don't like it at all.

Yea San Antonio doesn't seem like a team that takes any games off like a lot of elite teams tend to do here and there. And to even compare Devin Harris and Brooke Lopez to Tony Parker and Tim Duncan is laughable. The Spurs have so much more depth they can throw at you outside of just two or three talented players.
I don't see the Nets hitting more than 55% of their outside shots either (which is a must if they expect to win or keep pace with the Spurs).
It's Spurs (-8) or no play here.

Thanks for the stat trends betme.
I might also put a parlay ML wager on San Antonio and Denver (+2.5) to hedge my Spurs (-8) bet.
Denver (+2.5) is a good play tomorrow as they are a team that has beaten Houston at Houston already and have a decent record when playing back-to-back nights.
Atlanta Hawks -Detroit Pistons UNDER 185 total is also a play.

Spurs sounds good and I gave the layout in my starting up thread but you shouldn't take my words for it. I am known to blow bets too.
I think 8 is to much here. I wouldnt take the Nets either though.

Well since it is V day, wouldn't it be better if you make a wager against your lover?
Like if Spurs win, she gets top and if nets win, you get bottom.
Either way, you're on your back while watching the game.

i like the teaser and spurs -8,
lopez never gets enough rebounds, screws up a lot. spurs have deep bench. plus like i said, out of 38 nets losses, 27 have been 8 or more.

In the spurs last 10 away games they are 7-3. 1 of those loses being @ philly where the spurs just do not play well. Out of those 7 wins, only 1 was less than a 9 point victory, and it was @ the Lakers....spurs had played 4 games in 5 days but got to rest their starters for saturdays 4th quarter and then had a day off to rest up...they are tough as hell when rested.
The nets are strong inside with Lopez and also had a days rest, but after I watched them get worked in the latter part of the game against the amare-less Knicks....Idk if the spurs don't win by 12-15 here. I don't see them letting up because A. They're rested and have another 2 days of rest after the nets game. B. Its just not who they are to play past teams and/or let up...just my opinion on things. Still a tough call when money is coming out the pocket ya dig.
