Trends play a large role for me and once again there is not one best stat IMO.

Also the part that makes them tough is that it can be difficult to predict pace...especially when a good offensive team faces a good defensive team.

A line is just an average (or perhaps a median) of what the 2 teams are expected to produce. The key is to find the middle, so half the time it would be over, and the other half would go under. But this information won't help you find winners. This is just the idea behind the line. I'm not sure what stat can tell you what's going to happen. I think it's hard to predict one single game. It is better to pick a team that you think will play more overs than unders or vice versa, and bet accordingly each game. A good example is Milwaukee (just 5 unders and a push in last 20) or Denver (5 unders in last 20). Most of their games go over as you see. It's also important not to get discouraged if one of their games goes under and continue to bet over, until it becomes obvious that this nice run is done and it's time to lay off or bet on under.

I do love playing unders in Det, SAS, and Hou games given the right situation.

Oh yeah, Detroit on the road is great with unders (5-8 last 13 road games). Miami is another great under team (7-13 last 20), and they can't score at all.

also for the totals the two teams playing are helping each other to beat you or help you win... (just a weird thought)

lost two overs this weekend when had charlotte over and they scored 9 in 4th Q to lose by 5 no field goal in last 8 minutes.
Phoenix scored 9 in 4th Q sunday to miss over by 7. they scored 88 in first 3 quarters.
both were low totals in a quarter for each team this year; why can't they have their low totals when I am on under.
hard to cap over/unders on close games as you have to give a few points for fouls down the stretch. do not understand when and how much a team fouls as friday someone was down 14 with 15 seconds and other team was fouling and in another game with 12 seconds remaining team was down 8 and let winning team dribble out.
If you must play parlays, I find it very hard to hit 3 team parlays like you said you were playing as I would not play any more than 2 teams in any parlay. if you really love 3 totals I would round robin them in 2 team parlays instead of one 3 teamer. If you like one total more than other two make it the wheel team with other two teams in 2 team parlays.
just my two cents worth; good luck.

I understand that if it's a low over/under, it tends to go under. If it's a high over/under, it tends to go over. Is that true?
