The odds last time I checked of the Lakers winning the conference was +130. The Spurs was also +130.


Let's be honest, ONE of those teams will win the West no matter what. That's a guarantee.



Put money on Lakers +130
Put just as much on the Spurs +130


And if one of those teams win the conference, you get a 15% return on your investment. You can also adjust this rate by maybe putting more on the Lakers or Spurs, so you can get a 20% if Lakers win and 10% if Spurs win or something.

Do you even watch the NBA? This is not the NFL or NCAA where its 1 game and you're out. They play series here, where the better team wins. No one in the West is going to beat the Lakers or Spurs in a SERIES. Coaching, players, experience, talent, and many more edges for the Lakers and Spurs.

Lakers and Spurs both old and with a major injury (not out of the question) would severely influence their chance at winning. That's why it's called gambling. There are no "locks"

OKC, Denver, Dallas, we hear those names every year. But when it comes to series, these teams will be -300 underdogs to win. Good luck.


Just realize Lakers or Spurs have represented the West 11 out of the last 12 years.

And this year both teams are strong, some of those 12 years only one of them had a chance to represent the West. In fact, they will be the #1 and most likely #2 seeds.

Having to wait 3 to 4 months for a 15% return make work in the stock market, but it doesn't fly here in the sports market. Add the fact that both of these teams are old, injury prone and neither one needs to have home-court advantage, means that there are better bets out there. You would come out better by either picking 1 and sticking with it, or just betting a highly favorite team on a given night. At least with the latter, you wouldn't have to wait so long to cash in and at most sweat it out for 48 minutes...

If you are convinced no other team stands a chance just bet Lakers +130 and then when/if they meet the Spurs in West Finals bet the Spurs to win the series. Lakers will be considerable favorites being the public team they are so you would likely still get Spurs +130 for that series and not tie up all your money.
Personally I don't ever play these futures bets but know some folks make big dough on them.

Totally agree that either LA or San Antonio represent the west. Just too long to wait for us junkies to have some money tied up that I'll probably lose before then anyway, lol, but this bet will hit. Unless a big trade happens like Mavs renting Melo for a few months but they'll still probably lose.

Well without a doubt it's free money. And hey if you feel strongly one of those teams will win, you can do 30% Profit Lakers win, and Push Spurs Win. So that's like a free shot at 30% on the team you feel strongest on.
