I haven't been keeping up with my thread lately so I decided to start a new one...since the 2nd half of the season has more or less begun. If you were following me the last few weeks, you've seen my profit dwindle from a respectable +15U or so down to almost nothing. I haven't been keeping records this past week so I'll start over. I am down around $40 this season which is 2U. So I will consider my stats to be 0-0-0 for -2U at the start of this thread! Let's dig out of the red!
Anyways, here we go:
LAC@DAL(-6.5): Gordon, not Griffin makes that team tick. He scores over 24 points a game and is a deep threat (he hit like 6 3's in their last game). Without him, they will be pummeled. The Clippers have been hot as of late, but their wins were against teams that play no defense: GS, MIN, IND, and an out of sync LAL and MIA. I think when they go up against good defensive teams like tonight vs DAL or NO, they will be too undisciplined to play effective basketball. Dirk is getting back in stride, and Dallas has beaten LAC 7 consecutive times...with one time this season, 99-83. Lay the points. 1U DAL.
CHA@SAC(-1): SAC has the potential to blow these guys out. I'm looking for a big game from Beno Udrih. It's a b2b for SAC, but they're young and the flight from Portland is only an hour so I'm not putting much stock into it. Normally I'd fade SAC anytime they're a favorite, but CHA is pretty awful as well. If SAC covers tonight, it would be a good time to go into fade mode since their next 4 games are against @LAL, NO, BOS, SA, yikes! 1U SAC.
UTAH@LAL(-8): This is probably a fixed game, so I'm taking the Jazz. All signs point to a Laker blowout, and that's what Vegas wants. They know the Lakers are the most widely bet team in the league and its a perfect game for sabotage. The Jazz have gone 0-4 during their current road trip, while the Lakers just beat @DEN. This is going to be one of those wtf? games similar to DET@ORL last night. 1U UTAH.
Hopefully I can start seeing some green again!
