    Monday's NBA Tip Sheet
    **Toronto at Miami**

-- Toronto’s (20-35 straight up, 31-21 against the spread) overtime setback to Dallas 115-113 on Sunday pretty much summed up the season for this young club and head coach Sam Mitchell.

-- The Raptors owned a 17-point lead heading into the fourth quarter before being outscored 31-14 by the Mavericks in the final 12 minutes.

-- This will be the final tip of a five-game road trip for Toronto, which has seen the team go 1-3 SU and 2-1-1 ATS. The ‘under’ is 3-1.

-- The Raptors are only 10-19 SU on the road, but an impressive 19-8 ATS. The ‘under’ is 15-14.

-- After this game, Toronto will host Atlanta on Wednesday.

-- Miami (35-20 SU, 28-26 ATS) extended its winning streak to five games Saturday after ripping Seattle, 115-106. The Heat failed to cover as 14 ½-point home favorites, while the combined 221 points skipped ‘over’ the closing total of 209 ½.

-- The Heat are 4-1 ATS during this stretch, while the ‘over’ has prevailed to a 4-1 run as well.

-- Miami holds a 20-6 SU and 12-13 ATS mark at American Airlines Arena. The club is averaging 102 PPG at home, helping the ‘over’ go 16-10.

-- The Heat will be looking to avenge a 107-94 loss to Toronto on Nov. 20 as a six-point road favorite. The combined 201 points slid ‘over’ the closing total of 199. The Raptors were 25-of-35 from the charity stripe and were fortunate not to face Shaquille O’Neal, who missed with an injury.

-- Following this tilt, Miami travels to Boston on Wednesday.

    **Philadelphia at Dallas**

-- Philadelphia (28-27 SU, 26-28 ATS) pushed its winning streak to three games Saturday by knocking off Chicago 108-102 as a three-point home favorite.

-- The combined 210 points cashed the ‘over’ for the sixth straight game.

-- Philadelphia has struggled on the road this year, going 10-16 SU and 11-15 ATS. The team is allowing 103 PPG away from home, helping the ‘over’ go 15-11.

-- This will be the first of a two-game Texas road trip, with the Sixers facing Houston on Wednesday.

-- Dallas (44-11 SU, 27-26 ATS) rallied past Toronto 115-113 in overtime Sunday, extending its home winning streak to 14 games.

-- Currently, the Mavericks enter this game with a five-game winning streak intact, but are only 2-3 ATS.

-- Avery Johnson’s team has outscored opponents by an average of 10 PPG (101-91) at home en route to a solid 25-4 SU and 15-14 ATS mark.

-- The home team has won the last two games in this matchup, including Philadelphia’s 112-97 victory against Dallas on Nov. 9 as a four-point home ‘dog.

-- Possible look-ahead game in this spot for the Mavs, with a road trip against San Antonio scheduled for San Antonio.

    **Charlotte at Los Angeles Clippers**

-- Charlotte (15-42 SU, 29-25 ATS) is off a loss Saturday as a 14-point road underdog to Phoenix, 136-121. The Bobcats held a six point lead at the break, but were outscored by 21 (68-47) in the second half.

-- The Bobcats’ offensive effort on Saturday was their second (122 on Nov. 16) highest point total of the season.

Elton Brand has become a force for the L.A. Clippers this season.
-- Despite only having five victories (5-24 SU) on the road, the team has cashed tickets at a 17-11 ATS clip.

-- Charlotte has seen the ‘over’ go 18-10 away from home largely in part to the amount of shots they attempt (84) and allow (79).

-- This is the fourth game of an eight-game road trip for the ‘Cats, with Utah up next Wednesday.

-- Los Angeles (31-23 SU, 28-25 ATS) snapped a five-game losing streak Friday by drilling the Lakers 102-83 as a three-point home favorite.

-- The Clippers are 1-5 SU in their last six games, but 3-3 versus the number.

-- L.A. is 18-9 SU and 14-13 ATS at Staples Center.

-- The Clips’ success this year could be attributed to their defense, holding teams to 94.5 PPG.

-- The ‘under’ is 31-22 on the season, including an eye opening 18-9 (67%) at home.

-- After this game, the Clips host New Orleans on Wednesday.
