I was thinking the Lakers would be favored by a couple more points considering the way the Mavs have been playing as of late. I'm weary of betting games when the spread looks "to good to be true", and when I saw this spread that's exactly what I was thinking. I appreciate the responses, I'm going with the Lakers!

Mavs havent been playing good defense lately... If this game was in LA, it would be LA -7. I like Lakers to win

I think it is very "fishy", thought this when I first saw the line.
Mavs have been getting killed lately and should be like +5 or +6.

Makes me think Dallas is the play.
Book is trying to get all kinds of action on the Lakers.

We will see. I like the Lakers with this number, but am staying away

Nothing fishy about this line what so ever. Lakers were -3 at the Bucks. -4 at the Pacers and Suns. All 3 of those are far worse teams then the Mavs. Wtih Dirk active Mavs have not been home dogs this year yet, this is the 1st time. I they were playing well they'd be favorites, since they are not they are getting 3 points.

What problem do you have with this line again?

Id normally say this line is based on perception, Mavs havent been playing well and lost badly with Dirk in the lineup the first game, but we all know the Lakers arnt juggernaut's on the road no play other than in game for me.

I guess my perceptions are a bit clouded since I live in the Dallas area. Over the last couple weeks the Mavs have been one of the worst teams in the NBA.

Newsflash for you........Even if the Lakers aren't that good, Dallas IS that bad recently, lost Coron huge blow even if Drik goes off Terry will be his only supporting cast. I hope Dallas can right the ship eventually but dont see it happening this game. I mean when you get spanked by DETROIT yes Detroit with no Hamilton, and have lost 9 of 12 and most by 10 points or more, I think you will have a tough time getting by the Defending Champs, even at home.........that being said Dallas has to win sometime ML is low stay away from this one thats the play but L.A should win handily
