blazers ML is the play here...they're hot right now and playing great. A full and healthy mavericks squad squeaked out a win against them at home mid-December. Blazers have a rebounding masquerade out there and the only way they lose this one is bad ref calls...go Portland

So the public "Leaned" towards Dallas before it was announced Dirk was out and then the line moved when it was announced he wasn't playing. Not much of a mystery there.
