    SDQL query help
    Does anyone know if there is a way to check on a teams last 10 games, or last 5 something like that.

    I guess you can do it by setting the date to 10 games ago, or you game do it by individual game p: pp: .... pppppppp: and so on, but is there 1 command that does last X number of games?

          In case you aren't aware, there is a group for these questions, it's at the bottom of the page where you do sdql.

              If you are summing things, N=xx where xx is the number of games, will show it to you for that number of games.

                I dont really wanna sum anything, just see the record (whatever record) for the last xx number of games.

                    Probably not, actually.

                    When you said you didn't want to use p:, figured that applied to n: as well.

                    Hope it gets you what you want.

                      I didn't know you can just do them in a row like that. I thought you have to do it 1 by 1 like p:L or p:W and pp:L or pp:W and ppp.....and so on.

                          I'm not sure - ask in that group, they might be able to help. It seems like it should be simple, but I'm not sure.

                          To see the home games from this season, it's

                          site=home

                          so

                          season=2010 and site=home and team

                          will get you the record for this season for home games, but not sure how to do it for the last X games at home.

                            yeah, this is tricky.

                            You can go with your original query and just and "and site" to the end. i.e.: Lakers last 20 games broken down by home/away :

                            query: team=Lakers and nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn:date>=today and site
                            yields:

                            # games ATS W-L-P (marg,% win) OU O-U-P (marg,% over) SU W-L (marg,% win) site
                            12 5-7-0 (-1.54, 41.7%) 4-8-0 (-8.38, 33.3%) 7-5 (3.08, 58.3%) away
                            8 1-7-0 (-10.25, 12.5%) 2-6-0 (-6.50, 25.0%) 4-4 (-0.75, 50.0%) home

                            You can then use site=Home or site=Away in the query to look at recent home/away results. I don't think you can do the record for last N home or away games using a single query though.

                            You may need to fudge the number of 'n's to get the number of home/away games you are looking for though.

                              This is one of those things which seems like it should be simple to do, and maybe I'm missing something and it is, but the queries just aren't set up for it.

                              My suggestion is to post the question to the group and see if anyone has a way of doing this.
