Steve "Destroy the" Franchise to New York
The Magic get Penny Hardaway and Trevor Ariza.

I like this for the Magic. Useless for the Knicks unless they trade either Francis or Marbury away within the next 24 hours. Two one-on-one, selfish players in the backcourt is not a recipe for wins. Especially in a Larry Brown system which is supposed to be centered around team play and ball movement.

Hardaway is useful to the Magic only in that he represents a salary dump. At the end of the year, he will be cut due to his injuries and that's $15 million off the books for next year.

I get the sense the Magic have a nice plan here. Not fully visible yet, but I can see them making some nice improvements next year. The Knicks are still a joke.

    Useless for the Knicks .

Agreed, and agreed that the dealing probably isn't over.

Sorry that I already played the MFNYK tonight.

Hope Stevie gets across the river, passes his physical, and drives the number down to where I can buy back some MIA.

(One more way that the NCCAB studs around here can argue that their game is better -- no trade rumors, and no trades)

I agree. Liked him as a player, but this is getting ridiculous. Never take in a disgruntled player. WTF are they so disgruntled about? They make millions throwing a ball through a hoop. Humble players buy into the team concept (see Suns); disgruntled players put themselves first. Strange that Thomas doesn't see this, because he was always a team-first player.

good trade for my orlando magic....had to get rid of francis and his contract....hill and his contract should be coming off the books soon....hopefully milicic can develop into something good over the next few years alongside howard plus bring in some good talent with all the money theyre gonna have to spend

Just what they need. Another selffish guard, that dont like to listen.

Im sure Marbury and Francis will mesh together and be the best backcourt in the NBA. :+textinbu

dont forget isiah got put in control of the cba and it folded soon after

i remember him grossly overpaying some executives that did little to nothing and those that knew what kind of money the cba could pay people based on the revenue they got knew the moves were completely horrible and illogical

no way in hell i would have him running anything even the popcorn machine

just cause he played in the nba does not make him a good businessman even if it's nba related

it also does not guarantee he will be a good coach or gm either

Great trade for the Magic. Ariza is going to be a very good player in the near future. Maybe he'll be able to get some of Darko's minutes...oh that's right Darko isn't getting any minutes.
