i think what made them a special team was having kobe on the floor with 2 legit bigs to control the paint and turn up the tempo when odom moves in the 4 in place of bynum. i dont see them utilizing that nowadays, cant blame them though most of nba teams tend to move away from their strengths once they started piling up the wins

My buddy tried to get me to point the Lakers plus the points after Kobe's "speech" today. I cashed 1.5 units on SA-3. I don't care about his meager attempts to motivate his team right now. The fact is LA is swimming in a sea of negative momentum and it's gonna take them a few weeks to step forward. They are not executing nor are the playing harmoniously right now. Kobe can run his mouth all he wants. As long as he continues to jack up 27 shots a game they will be in a tough spot. On the Hornets tomorrow.
