    Bet on everything strategy
Instead of looking at one game and betting on that what about this strategy on betting on every NBA and the over/under in order to make a profit.

Using the consensus picks on covers.com, just go with the public, bet on every game and see what happens. No one knows one way or the other how things are going to turn out in any given game, Milwaukee +12 defeat the Lakers last night by 19 and Golden State defeats Sacramento after being down 4 points with 4 seconds left.

Here are how majority public plays have gone the last few days.
    Bet $1 to win $0.90
    Dec. 21: 4-2 vs. spread, 4-2 Over/Under +$4.20
    Dec. 20: 7-2 vs. spread, 8-1 Over/Under +$10.50
    Dec. 19: 4-2 vs. spread, 4-2 Over/Under +$4.20
    Dec. 18: 1-7 vs. spread, 4-4 Over/Under -$6.50
    Dec. 17: 4-6-1 vs. spread, 1-10 Over/Under -$11.50
    Dec. 16: 2-1 vs. spread, 2-1 Over/Under +$1.60
    Dec. 15: 5-6 vs. spread, 7-4 Over/Under +$0.80

+$0.90 over the five day sample.
+$3.30 over the seven day sample.

Obviously, just like with anything else, there are great days (Dec. 20) and bad days (Dec. 17-18). I will tally up how much would be won and for easy math, I will just use a $1 bet on each game and over/under and a $0.90 profit for each win and a $1 loss for each loss.

    Thoughts?

You may have something here. I need to go in to the lab for further study.

You know with that many clusters of games, you will hit right at 50%. You would normally lose money. If you raise your stakes on each game when you tread below 50%, you will catch up money wise. This comes in waves

            You see Dec. 17th and 18th you would be a combined 10W - 27L (27%)
            Now you raise stakes.
            Dec. 19-20-21 you would be a combined 31W - 11L (74%)

            Overall % 41W - 38L (52%)

            just a small sample size

Here's a CRAZY idea. How about learning to handicap and actually handicap the freaking games and make plays that actually make sense. Geeze.

And what about when you lose 3 or 4 days in a row and you are dead broke and now you can't raise again when the Win streak comes back? If you want to play a strategy like this just go play the pass line in craps. Geeze, what stupidity.

With sports betting you could make a predetermined statement such as: The Pistons will cover the spread 50% by the end of the season.

After saying that, one strategy would be to bet on them every time they play. If their spread record would fall below 50% for, let us say, 10 games. You could raise your stakes and wait for a turnaround.

You see, the initial judgment is what I would be banking on: The Pistons will cover the spread 50% by the end of the season.
There are many strategies out there. I am suggesting a more backwards approach.

Ask anyone who knows me what my win % is on the sports that I post picks for and you can answer your own question.
