    Moneyball Shootout: $5,000 EACH week

    How to play: Register here.

    Requirements
To be eligible for prize money each contestant MUST have deposited $50 into their DSI accounts after December 8th. This is a one-time funding requirement. Book-to-book transfers, SBR Store promotions, or other promotional cash does not satisfy the deposit requirement. New DSI accounts must be created using this contest sponsor link.

Exceptions: If a poster already has a $200 balance, comprised of real-cash, he/she does not need to make the $50 deposit. Posters with less than $200 balances must redeposit $50 to be prize-eligible.

    Grand Prize requirements:
Contestant must have deposited $50 by March 4th to be eligible for the contest-ending, $10,000 prize-pool. All prizes are cash and carry 6X rollover.
    • Start Date: Sunday, January 2nd
    • End Date: Saturday, April 2nd
    • Max Round Plays: 7
    • Min Round Plays: 7
    • Max contest Plays: 91
    • Min contest Plays: 42
    • Best Bets required per round: 2
    • Best Bet Value: 3x
    • Scoring Method: Units
    • Tiebreaker: Action Points (the amount your picks beats the spread. A team handicapped at -1 that wins by 3 would mean 2 action points toward tiebreaker)

Players who do not deposit prior to their picked games starting will win points in the amount of 25% of the listed cash prize. Players can deposit at anytime to be eligible for cash prizes for the subsequent week. All contestants must enter a valid DSI account regardless of if they choose to play for SBR Points.

do those playing for sbr points compete against those playing for real money in the rankings? if so it's going to be harder for those playing for real money because of the increase in the number of people in the contest.

Don't want to sound like a broken record but there seemed to be a lot of confusion in the other thread regarding the $200+ balance which never got answered properly, and I am curious myself. Is it A or B?

      A. Hypothetically, if you deposited months ago, got your balance to $200, and also received $100 promotional prize money that got combined with the deposited balance, you would need a balance of $300 to qualify?

      B. Or is any balance over $200 that is a combination of deposited and non deposited promotional funds okay?

Just noticed it is 7 plays max per week, 2 of which are 3 unit plays.

So every week 1st place will end up being several players who happen to go 7-0 that week for +11 units. The 3 criteria will all be the same for each 1st place contestant: units (+11), # of wins (7), and win percentage (100%).

For better or worse, this means there is likely that every week's contest will be decided by action points. This is a consequence of having 7 max plays per week and having a couple of hundred players in the contest.

Not complaining here, just an observation.. Or maybe I am reading the rules incorrectly?

One of the things that in undeniably good is the (sportsbook) cash prizes are deep, going 25 places per week. Should be easy for everyone to win.

okay, I thought I already asked this & came back looking for an answer, but my post has disappeared.

I deposited $200 to become PRO & BTP in September. I still have over $200 in there, so Im good to go, right????

when will accounts be checked for the $200? 'cause i currently have $450 from a $250 deposit made before football, but don't wanna risk losing $250+ of it and falling below the $200 if accounts aren't checked until way late in the contest..

                                              what about my case :

                                              Aug 2010 = Starting balance $0 , deposit $50 cash for Beattheprick = new balance $50 .
                                              Sep-Dec 2010 = won $135 prizes in Beattheprick = new balance $185 .
                                              Dec 2010 = won NFL bets = new balance $360 .

So my $360 balance comprise of $225 real-cash and $135 promotional money ? ( I still have $304 worth of rollover to be done .)

Am I qualified without depositing another $50 ? Can SBR mods confirm this ?

                                                B. Or is any balance over $200 that is a combination of deposited and non deposited promotional funds okay?
The $200 balance must be comprised of 100% deposited cash. Having a $50 cash balance with +150 in promo money would not count toward the funding requirement.

You are all good. Anyone with $200 in the account after the 8th will be fine. If not up to $200 a single deposit for $50 will be required.

The idea is that you dont have to withdraw your own money and put $50 back but are still an active depositing player. No one is going to lose their prize on a technicality.

Will we know if we are ok before we get a win in the contest? I think in BTP you didn't verify until the first win.

From the opening post in this thread:

"If a poster already has a $200 balance, comprised of real-cash, he/she does not need to make the $50 deposit. Posters with less than $200 balances must redeposit $50 to be prize-eligible."

" real-cash" , i hope that includes winnings after the original deposit.

My case is similar to aceking's above and his question hasn't been answered yet (unless it's being answered as I type).

                                                      My case :
                                                      deposit = 100 ,
                                                      current balance = 678 ,
                                                      BTP wins = approx 220 ,
got up with my earliest plays and never needed to "use" BTP money to make plays.

                                                      I hope my "real-cash" is considered to be current balance - BTP wins >>> 678 - 220 = 458.

                                                      Is this ok?
