Felton was only two year deal so he wasn't going to be their long term answer anyway

Knicks are getting carmelo anthony, Chauncey billups, shelden williams, anthony carter, renaldo balkman, and there getting Corey brewer from the timberwolves.

There giving up winson chandler, raymond felton, danilo gallinari ,timofey mozgov to the nuggets and there giving up Eddy curry and Anthony randolph to the timberwolves.

I'm happy as hell. Tell me a reason why I shouldn't be? Just added almost 50 ppg to our roster + depth at center.

they are locking in 35-40million a year for 2 players already
how will they build that roster with no draft picks ?
if i were the knicks i would forget about a 3rd superstar, they may not have any cap space to sign anybody else.....

Knicks fans meet Carmelo, a player who smiles and laughs while he is losing a game.

I think that now hes playing for a team he actually wants to play for things may be different but we will see.

Corey Brewer plays a little defense too. And Anthony Carter gives them more long range fire power too. In the end, all the same talent is there that was before the trade except the Knicks upgraded HUGE with Carmelo. I just hope Billups plays like Billups can and I think this team can play spoiler in the post season.

amare has developed an awesome jumper from anywhere carmelo normally hits. they "guarded" each other in the all star game. they'll take shots away from each other, and billups hates melo for this whole mess. He's from denver and wanted to retire there..i think he's gotta stay quiet take his 14 mil a season for 2 years and get back to his pistons days. then he'll replaced by chris paul or deron williams. the trade was a backwards step for the hope of a giant leap forward in a couple years.

It's a pain to love the knicks this much. NYK forever.

At least Anthony won't need to worry about playing defense. Of course, he never worried about that at Denver, either.

A very overrated player in my honest opinion. But, NY is a good spot for him. They will love his offense and not care about his matador defense.

                          Knicks got gutted.

However, the big difference will be is if Mr. Big Shot acclimates to the system and only then, will the Knicks threaten the Celtics in the playoffs.

However, I do want to officially say that 'melo is the most p-whipped player in NBA history.
Seriously, who was more whipped than Melo is now.

He's so spineless. All talent and no backbone.

The Knicks may have finally created the worst defensive team in recent NBA history

They have a coach who refuses to coach it and two stars who have no idea what it is.

As long as D'Antoni is the coach of the knicks they will never win he doesn't believe in defense nor does he use his bench. Roger Mason played in 161 games the last two years for spurs who are one of the best teams in the league. This year D'Antoni has used Mason in less that 20 games.

Denver made out like bandits ! They were gonna lose Melo anyway.
I truly expect Denver to be a much improved team now. Gallinari is a lot better
than you guys think. Felton and Chandler are both solid. Denver is a big threat now
as long as coach Karl has the right plan, which he sure sounds excited about inventing.
The future is totally secure for Denver now.. they are like Phoenix 2.0

As far as the Knicks, they are going nowhere. Celtics, Heat, Orlando, Bulls all are superior
especially now. New York got their movie star. But we shall see how Melo truly does adjust
in the East.. it's still going to be a while before the Knicks are any type of threat.

i like the Nugs tonight as a standard play.
The Nugget players and the Knick starters they received all feel put off by the Melodrama.
They are going to light it up !!

Just like i said when the Knicks got Amare. Hell it might even be in this thread somewhere. Good luck with your 2 superstars trying to get you out of the 1st round. You'll need it.

Note to Knicks fans: It's not "hating" on the Knicks to point out they don't have cap space in 2012 to sign CP3 or DWill
Being a homer or a hater doesn't change the Knicks' cap position or the NBA rules on free agency.

Knicks being his place of choice has jack shit to do with winning. Chicago is winning. And i'm no Bulls fan.

AND DENVER STILL ASKING FOR MORE. Pull the offer and be done with it. The Nuggs threatened to trade him to the Knicks For what??? Eddie Curry and some late 1st round pick NY manages to scrape off someone, ohh yeah and Anothony Magic Randolph, who can forget about that stud. ******* LET THEM THEN!

Denver wants draft picks, Denver wants salary cap, they are not even willing to take on Troy Murphys expiring deal, they want pure cap (trade exception). Thats were all this silliness about 3rd and 4th teams comes from. And Denver wants to get rid one or more its bad contracts along with Melo.

You're just picking out guys you think the Knicks can spare and putting them in the package. But no, the package is not enough because it is not what Denver has been asking for.
