Coming off a backdoor cover last night I felt the need to tease some NBA games, here's what I came up with. Bulls/Lakers will be a close one. It's prime time game, Lakers have been struggling since the loss of Bynum and the Bulls have a strong 7-2 home record compared to the Laker's 6-4 road record. I see Chicago coming out on top on this one, and with the 12½ security blanket you got nothing to worry about here. The next game is the Spurs/Hawks. Spurs have the best record in the NBA, and are tied for the second best home record at 10-2. They play a very good road team in the Atlanta Hawks. I see the Spurs easily winning this game and getting the +2 is just a bonus. Portland has been playing really well, beating Orlando last night. Orlando was coming off a team virus so they are still not at 100% which definitely had some impact over their loss. Portland is playing b2b, against a less dominant Phx squad. With the loss of Amare, Nash has been looking elsewhere for baskets. Look for this one to be closer than the spread tells us. I could even see Portland winning this heads up, but the X factor is that it is back to back games. With a 15½ teaser you can't go wrong. The final game is the Heat facing off against the GSW. Heat seem to finally be clicking and have been tearing it up as of late. I see no sign of this stopping tonight against an awful GSW crew. Heat +1? Yeah I think they got it. So this is my first write up/pick I hope you jump on board. BOL!

After thoughts:
Well none of the games tonight were even close. When you look at my picks (Bulls, Spurs, Trailblazers, and Heat) and you factor them on the money line, they were all winners. If you played them with the regular spread, they were all winners. And finally, if you teased them like I did with a parlay you probably didn't sweat too much tonight and racked in some money. So at the end of the day 4 correct picks. Wish I had played them individually with the regular spread as they all turned out to be correct. What have we learned about today?

Bulls are crazy good at home.
Lakers are still struggling, without Bynum.
Heat are clicking wherever they play, home or away it does not matter.
GSW started off well, but showed their true colors 2nd half
Trailblazers with two strong back to back wins against Orlando and Phx
Phx are weak.
Atlanta played the Spurs well even with Joe Johnson being out
Spurs continue to dominate all of the NBA

Pacers at Hawks
Both teams are traveling tonight. Pacers to Atlanta, and Hawks back home. Both are playing back to back games. I expect this to be a low scoring game. The current line is set at 193 right now. I expect this game to be in the under. Last time they met the Hawks won 102-92 in Indiana. Let's face it, both teams are coming off tough games this one will be under 193.

Timberwolves at Bulls
Bulls and Timberwolves both played last night too. Bulls played a hell of a game and beat the Lakers by 4pts. Why is the spread at 9.5 though? It's because the prime time nationwide audience just saw the Bulls beat the world champion Lakers. Thus everyone must be thinking the Bulls are on fire, and they are...BUT they are just coming off a big win. 9.5 is too large of a spread for this game. Look at Timberwolves' recent losses, they lost to OKC by 8pts, NYC by 7pts, Spurs by 6pts. What's this tell me? They aren't a walk over team. They are coming off a win over Detroit, although that's nothing to brag about, but they are feeling good about it. Thing is I think they play big teams well when they are away, well enough to keep it under 9.5. Take the Timberwolves +9.5 (buy the half point if you can)

Heat at Kings
Heat dominated last night in GSW, basically allowing the starters to rest most of the 4th. No lines are up for this, but if the spread is around 10 I am confident enough to ride the Heat train all the way to the bank. Pick Heat ML with the spread against them if its under 10.

These are not my final picks, just what I'm leaning towards betting on. Official picks will be posted tomorrow!

I really luv the minnesota logic... I also think that 9.5 pts is too many to pass up... Like u said ive seen the wolves play some pretty good teams close lately and i will jump on the bandwagon... Besides chicago isnt ur run em off the court type team...GL!!!

Okay here are my bets for today. My philosophy is, if you're a bad team you probably don't play defense well. Meaning you'll rack up points. Here we have the Raptors and Pistons, both terrible teams. I have feeling both of these will be going to hit the over on 201. So I made a bet on that. The next one I made was another 4 game teaser parlay. Memphis/Clippers they got the spread at +1 Memphis, so the books are thinking this will be a close game. I was able to tease this so it turned into Memphis +11. I think the clippers win at home, but Memphis will cover this fairly easily. The next one is the Bobcats hosting Celtics. Celts rarely blowout teams. The Celts allow teams to come back in the 3rd and 4th, usually anytime the bench comes in. Lately they have been killing teams like Chicago and Detroit, but two nights ago they played a close one with Detroit. This is may be a blow out, so I am taking a risk on this one. The next is Detroit/Raptors over 191, like I said before I think they will be over 201, so I am taking them at over 191 as well. Jazz has been playing really well, and tonight they are coming into Dallas. I see this one being very close too, two great teams. I suggest picking Utah +5.5, but buy the extra .5 to make it +6. Sorry for the quick writeup today, but I'm on my way out. This is a risky parlay tonight, due to the fact that the Celtics could be on their A game...but I doubt it. Celtics probably will have Nate play a good amount tonight meaning they will sacrifice assists for baskets. Be cautious today fellas. Just adding...Shaq is not playing for the Celtics tonight.
