76er's and Clippers - Monday 3/3/08

What am I missing? They beat them by 21 the first time they played and the Clippers have been dropping games one after another?

Not that I know of so far. Dalembert is dealing with a strained quad and an ankle injury, but he played against Phoenix, so I'm thinking he'll be fine.

Tim Thomas is expected to miss the next four games with a groin injury.

He sat out Saturday's embarrassing loss to the Pistons and doesn't figure to play for another week.

Is all about the home/away . If 76ers were -4 would it really make any difference ? How high could they make a spread with an under the radar 76er team playing out west . Is kinda like in the nfl with the home/away when it is automatically a spread of 3 . All of the common sense factors are kinda thrown out the window . The common sense in the fact we think the Clips are horrible .
But the tricky part about this game is who better for the Clips to get a home win against on a monday night than an iffy team from the east playing away from home .
I do have 76ers on some parlays still going , but they are by no means a lock for me to hit . Usually the last one I need ends up being no good .
In closing , the 76ers look like a worthwhile shot but just because they just won at the Suns has nothing to do with monday night . Sorry if confusing .

FYI -he did an interview in LA before Sat's game and said he only wanted to play to stay in basketball shape...there was a limit on 30 minutes and he's not 100%

Thanks for the opinions. I am taking my chances and laid a bet down last night on the 76ers. I wanted to get on it before it went up. May not win but seems like they should. Obviously, nothing is for sure.

A couple notable occurences to make the head spin and that made no sense this year recently in the nba .
Nuggets beat the Celtics 124 - 118 then 3 days later the Nuggets gonna kill whoever they play right ? Nuggets go to Chic and get beat 135 - 121 .
Warriors beat the Celtics 119 - 117 and then lose their next game 2 nights later to the Hawks 117 - 110 , in GS !
These kind of results have happened many times during the course of the nba season , makes no sense really .

So now we have the 76ers coming off a win at the Suns , then they play at the Clips 2 days later , tonight !
Gotta like Philly but if , now is a big but if but is still prevalent . IF the 76ers lose it will be like the 2 occurences I listed above . Yes , people will be saying , what the hell , that does not make sense , 76ers can win at the Suns and then they cant beat the sorry excuse for a team Clippers ? Yes all of us Phiily backers would be right for our head being scrambled , it makes little sense really , we would just have to take the L .
Always remembering the nba is a shit leauge in the reg season .

Seriously ,this game in question tonight is a serious shit game , looking at it like that I have to stay with the 76ers since they just beat the Suns in Phoenix .
I would feel very very good about Philly if they still had Korver .

The last 5 games the Clips lost were all games they had no business winning , if we throw in the fact the Clips team seems depleted , at least from the original team they had , Cassell being one who could of made a difference for them , is just a shit game , will be glad when it is over .

notes , Clips scored 10 pts in the 4th q losing in LA to the Pistons . 10 pt quarters late are a sign of a bad team .
Is easy to say a team is bad by just looking at their record but a showing like 10 pts in the 4th q in their last game shows more , recent performance is key .
note , Clippers could just really really be a bad team , so tonight ? It may show itself and the home/away thing could become a mute factor .
Again , I will be glad when it is over because I have Philly -2 to hit some parlays from yesterday , is a shit game which makes me think no one cares , not even in Clipper Land , so 76ers roll

...too many if's right now but the Clippers are upset that Flip Murray decided not to sign a 10 day contract...the largest point guard now is Dickau at 6 foot even...and if Kaman doesn't play no inside presence...normally I'd say the Clips are the play on a game like this but the players available have me leaning the other way....

For a truly garbage game, on a slow NBA Monday, there's a lot of action on it. People bangin the under for 5 units, Clippers ML shot takers, 1st half plays, quarters, etc... Between all the top boards, this game is getting wayyy too much attention. Action on both sides too by a lot of veterans. If this game was on a Friday or Saturday night, I doubt a lot of people would be throwin this much wood on a game between two sh*t teams. I'm on it for two units myself because there's nothing else, I'm off this week and next week from work, my wife is watching some crappy show on tv, and I'm bored.
