DET in 1H at home off a SU loss (most recent first): +8, +10, +2 (L), +12, +17; (4-1 ATS). The first two are February games, so I'm not too worried about the recent slump in winning games.

NJN is 0-5 SU and ATS in L5 on road. First halves, most recent first: +1, -7, -14, -11, -12; (1-4 ATS).

Revenge may factor in. Nets beat Pistons on 1/31.

Problem area. Prince is coming off two straight 2 for 12 shooting performances. If Pistons have a flaw, it is a tendency to spread the ball instead of going with the hot hand. For instance, Prince took the final shot against Miami. Questionable coaching because after Billups, Rasheed should have been the second option out of the timeout. Anyway, Prince is very inconsistent, so his shots should fall tonight.

Strict word limit for Edgar today, after last night’s lip-outs and pure shanks. That’s how I’m going to punish myself for losses – with a modified gag order. (Thanks to you guys, non-posted action brought things closer to a total wash. Alamo, imgv94, and an all-Pags tease helped especially. Everybody keep ‘em coming! Please!.)

Tonight I think the Clippers line is an insult to LAC and Brand, who’ll be the best on the floor for the umpteenth consecutive night. Rockets have been fattening up on weak ones, and mostly at home, and this line is star-driven. ORL, despite whatever weirdness is happening with Francis, will be a handful for flat and overpriced Heat. (Warning: there may be some lingering rage about Sunday driving this pick.) CHI and SAC will grind it out on CHI’s return home from a long trip. And I like MIL minus whatever it is, especially if it is manageable.

Good teams bounce back from poor perfomance. I would be surprised to see two bad team perfomances at home in a row.
Ross is out and it may be difficult to cover Ronald McGrady, but his perfomance is suspect. I dont' know if it's his back, knees or both. If McGrady doesn't find his touch against this team and shoots poorly, it will cost his team the game.

Houston has been playing very good lately. Winning 6 of last 7 games. Even T'mac having a dismal night last game agains NY with 3/20 shooting from the field, they won easily. T'mac has had some troubles in recent game, but sooner or later he will produce, might aswell be tonight. Houston has been better road team this season. 8-16 (home) 13-14 (away), with 4 of those home wins coming during their last 8 games. They play much tighter defence at road and seem to enjoy their role as a road underdog this season. Clippers on the other hand, while playing very good recently, lost their last home game against tired Bulls. They have won 3 of last five, but have lost 2 of their last 3 and failed to cover the spread in last 5. Houston seems to be in better form and i think they are more motivated tonight. They still have a slim chance to get a playoff spot and they want to continue the strong play they have showcased during last 2 weeks.
