    Spurs -5 vs. Dallas
Huge play for me. 3-4 units at this point.

The pre-Kidd Mavs were put together for the sole purpose of beating the Spurs. They were able to play Diop/Dampier in tandem and Diop was unquestionably one of the most valuable players against the Spurs. Harris made Parker work and always played well against SA. Also, let there be no mistaking Parker's ownage of Kidd. He torches Kidd and doesn't have to exert himself on D. Every Spurs fan I know was thrilled at Dallas trading away Diop and Harris. I'll be attending the game tomorrow, but I can honestly say that I expect the Spurs to run away with this one. Dampier will get in foul trouble. Kidd will be ineffective. Dirk will sneer woughly 13 times. Terry will be Terry. Howard will be trouble...

BUT... Manu's playing out of his ass lately. Parker will abuse Kidd and make everyone forget about his injury. Duncan will have a field day down low. I know it's difficult to set the spread much higher, but I think SA -7.5 or so would have made me think about this more. All over SA at -5. Parlaying the ML with a few others as well.

Nice write-up. You are right about Harris and Diop. Harris was the one player who was quick enough to defend Parker and Diop held down the middle for Dallas. Now Dampier is all by himself

Hopefully Manu will stay hot and torch'em. I want to see Parker run circles around Kidd, and I want to see Dirk cry like a little baby

    Go Spurs! Let's cash this

I just plopped down 4 units on SA -4.5 at BetJam.

EDIT: And by that, I mean 4 REAL units, not the unit size of bets in my daily thread where I play 20+ plays a day. Those are obviously scaled down somewhat.

This game is too good to pass up in my opinion. The over has me concerned a little, but I'll take a deeper look at the numbers. With Harris, the over flies by. With Kidd, I'm not so sure. Then again without Diop, Duncan will have a monster game and if Parker's foot feels better, he's good for 20+ against Kidd. Add in Manu's outburst of late and I at least like the over of the Spurs team total. I'll check back in later.

It's funny how you forget that the Mavs team that was built solely to beat this Spurs team in a 7-game series was dismantled within the last 10 days. I love the Kidd trade for Dallas when they play Golden State, LA, Portland, Denver, even Phoenix. But that trade helped the Spurs out significantly. Diop's influence was criminally underrated against Duncan and as stated before, Harris was actually quick enough to both guard Parker and make him work on the defensive end. Had the Mavs beat the Warriors last season in the playoffs, they were set to beat the Spurs in a 7-game series. This season, I'd rather play Dallas than Denver...

Also, the last meeting (at Dallas) was won and covered by the dog Spurs. Mavs have taken 4 out of 5, but that was with Harris/Diop. Spurs roll tonight and I get drunk off my ass at the game. Anyone know where I can get the referee assignments for tonight's games?

i am fully aware of what harris did to the spurs. and i dont like the kidd trade. that said, i will take the mavs+200 against the spurs any day of the week. they win one out of two and i make bank. i will take my chances.

So you're a homer rooting for your team?

                  Thought so.

i like dallas too...i dont see sa blowing them out i actually see dallas possibly winning outright...i threw them in a ml parlay with milwalkee and layed a good amount on dallas +5 and then it dropped to +4.5 and still put some more on them...everytime i bet on them they have lost i might add and everytime i bet coincidental was against washington (irrelevant info)...im looking to get that monkey off the back tonight

                      go mavs +5

also teased them with mil and heat
also took mil +3.5, over 198...(nets avg more without kidd and mil is a good scoring team...i see like 105-103 game...and i love the lakers...but i think miami covers.

Good luck Baba, I'm with ya on the Spurs tonight. IMO, Dallas is overrated, and the only team that will beat the Spurs tonight, if anyone, is the Spurs themselves.

I bought the Spurs down to -4. Shoulda at least pushed. Finley ****ed me by missing that second FT with 0.4 left intentionally.

I pushed with SA 2H -3. There was no reason to miss that FT the way Finley did. If he makes it the Spurs are up 4 pts, if he misses the game is over.

As someone who was 8 rows back, center court, this game was horribly officiated. That was the cover.
