As most all know, Colin Cowherd lambasted John Wall for doing a dance in his opening home game and then committing 8 turnovers. Cowherd went on and on about how Rajon Rondo had 17 assists (padded by Boston scorekeeper, just fyi) with no turnovers the same night. He repeated numerous times how Rondo "has rings". Cowherd was wrong. Rondo has ONE ring, period.
I agree that Rondo is an excellent point guard. However, it IS his fifth year in the league and Wall hadn't played a week. Yet, Cowherd basically said Wall would never amount to anything.
Yesterday's boxscore saw Wall getting a triple-double, 19 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds, and six steals. This was his sixth NBA game ever.
It will be interesting to hear if Cowherd says anything about Wall's game. BFD if the 20-year old danced for 30 seconds in his first home game. The fans loved it. Who cares?
