      Seems high to me.

This line is telling me Boston would only be -2.5 favorites over Utah on a neutral court. I would think more like 6.

I think you are on the money. This line seems to be an open invitation to public to jump on Boston....and easy to see why perception would lead public to taking Celts with healthy number of points. After all, they have beaten Heat once already, and in spite of recent 2-point loss to Mavs, look formidable early. Add in a seemingly ordinary Utah team rising from the abyss last night (think deficit was 22 at one point) and embarrassing the Heat in Miami....and 6-7 points look awfully inviting. However...

Like that old saying goes, you are never as good as you look when you are winning, or as bad as you look when you are losing. Other side of the coin tells me this sets up perfectly for Heat. Hate to use a clique like "statement game", but this would certainly appear to be situation here for Miami. Celtics are team Heat will have to beat to get out of the conference. After losing to them once, motivation should be sky-high here. Coming off last night's debacle should only add to their focus. They gave this game away and know it (in spite of other-worldly effort by Millsap), for the whole world to see. If Heat are not motivated to bust ass for 48 minutes here, they never will be. Love them or hate them, we have not seen them at their best. Even at -7, I think this is a play on the Heat or a pass.

It actually opened at -7 and got pounded down to -6.5 real quick.

No way a dysfunctional Heat offence will cut it against Celtics defence. Heat will get better, but they need time and they are not ready to beat a very ready Celtics team by 7, thats my short take on it.

Heat definately. Think about it, Heat will be back at home again after their terrible defensive performance against the Jazz. They lost to Boston that rubbed it in their faces in the season opener. This is their bloody revenge. They will slaughter them just like they slaughtered Orlando.

That's what I was thinking. If Heat are favorites here, and everyone agrees that they will win, it's a question of my how much, not a just the fact that +7 is too high. Celtics are a solid team, but they can lose by a lot if they don't show up properly in Miami.

The thing that scares me is rondo's plantar fascitis which he said was hurting worse than ever right now. That and the refs fixing this. The celtics should cover though.
