Interesting because I've been getting creamed doing 10.5 teasers...yeah really. My local told me to stop teasers and parlays...I thought I had one last night, went to bed on Duke thinking they wouldn't lose and Bam!!! Sides are better I would agree. I'm looking for one game this weekend to pound. I need discipline

sports betting, just like poker is all about math and money management...parlays and teasers are just not smart if you're trying to consistently win...if you're in vegas and hoping to win some big money then those are how you do it...but in the long run, you just won't make you're money back playing teasers and parlays consistently

you make money betting 110 to win 100 and win over 53% over the coarse of your lifetime...

it's kinda like playing craps...if you play the passline and come bets you have the best odds against the house. but those field bets and yo bets and hard bets are SO tempting cuz they pay high...but those give the house a tremendous advantage over you in the long run if you keep betting them.

it's tough to say no to parlays teasers and it's totally cool if you do it here and there...but they should NOT be daily bets or really even weekly if you want to win money from the books.

a bookie telling you not to take those is just as obvious as can be...why on earth would a bookie even say that...he must be a good guy

Good read dugdogg, I started gambling with poker so completely agree that the only real way to make money is to have a lifetime time-span for things to slightly edge in your favor. with of course a few 'jack pots' here and there.

So one question I have, If people are feeling strongly about certain bets, for instance Bean is laying 10x his normal bet on the VCU under, and feels quite strongly about the first have spread for Ohio State. So in this case, it would seem okay odds, +50% that a small say 2x parley on those two criteria be a wise play? Still making the original individual bets of course.

Any thoughts?

Nope. Sharp money is on Marquette and won't let it.

Hell look at Pinny -- Marquette is +4 (-109). Most rec. books are still at 4.5 or even 5.
